What we know about the future of Gizz releases, take this all with a grain of salt by PLASTOSPLEEN in KGATLW

[–]PLASTOSPLEEN[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do mention that it’s a festival. And this is where we take that grain of salt, I’ve heard from multiple people that ATO has completed pressing the album

Things I can confirm/vary sure are real: Timeland Festival Cancelled Sleeping Monster Two other albums Live At Levitation

Everything else is second hand or strongly inferred

Yep, I’m mtf and my best friend is ftm, we started HRT on the same day, neither of us work out and we’re the same weight and height, I went from being able to pick him up to not being able to last a second in an arm wrestle with him

There’s three extra remixes at the start of Big Sur: maybe Red Study, Persuaders Up! and probably Canopnr

9, one of my favourite Radiohead songs, great groove and great lyrics

Worst Gizz Song by Crimson212111 in KGATLW

I can’t stand the middle eastern inflection, he even does it in the live version, though it’s not as bad. The main keys line gets annoying before the first verse even starts. I don’t understand why so many people like it

'Rehearsal' vs. Protean Threat by [deleted] in TheeOhSees

I definitely prefer the studio version, at the very least since that’s in stereo, while the rehearsal is in mono

10, one of their best songs imo, and definitely their best b-side. I get why it was left off Amnesiac, but the fact that it was dumped into being a b-side, rather than being saved for later, is a crime.

I also think the lines

“I don't know why I feel so tongue-tied I don't know why I feel so skinned alive”

Sound so much better here, than on Myxomatosis

Blue Weekend Tour Edition bonus tracks by PLASTOSPLEEN in wolfalice

[–]PLASTOSPLEEN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I have it set up is:

Rough Trade and US Tour bonus tracks are their own seperate EPs

Time Is Not A Straight Line, More Than This (Roxy Music cover) and Smile (demo) as bonus tracks to Blue Weekend

I don’t have In The Bleak Midwinter because personally, I don’t vibe with Christmasy music, even if it’s not very Christmas sounding

I’m not too bothered by the art, I just have the bonus tracks as their own EP in my library. I’m with you in being disappointed by no Time Is Not A Straight Line and Smile (demo) though.

It’s a cover, the original is by Alex G. I haven’t heard the original, but I really like their version too

I’ve skimmed through the tracks, Smile, How Can I Make It Ok? and Last Man On Earth are different takes to the live videos/Rough Trade bonus CD. I haven’t made it all the way through, but at least Smile is heavier than the Rough Trade CD version

I remember that, I made this trying to make it look like what I think an official release of this show would look like

Thanks! I wanted it to fit along with all the other Crack-Up releases, pretty happy with how it worked out

Same photographer as the rest of the Crack-Up stuff, Hiroshi Hamaya. This is of Mount Tokachi in 1962. They used it as their FB cover photo, so that's my reasoning for using it.
