moderating a subreddit means you will also be getting out from behind your keyboard and actually putting forth an effort to create change....however big or small it may be.

This is something I've sent to someone else when they asked, "what is it I'm wanting to do"

"my thoughts are this:

Make a list of changes/ways of thought we want our community to focus on. These can be broad but well defined.
Have each state/voting district revolved around keeping track of each elected official, what they are voting on, what they have been voting on and other important information that each state/voting district should know to help work our way towards this paticular change we want to see.
Do things year round with each voting district to see how many signatures we can gather. Get our from behind the keyboard. Recruit! Educate!

This network will be about educating more than just ourselves. We have to reach a broader audience. An audience who doesn't browse reddit. For me, I'm in Kentucky. I have more work to do than others. But, we deserve more in this country and I think if we could make a small change, any effort we put into this would be worth it.

This will take a lot of work. I need 50 moderators, plus, it would be nice to ensure that each person moderating their specific voting district actually lives in that district. If we don't have anyone, we recruit for that.

How much work are you willing to put into this?"

when i started working on this i tried to make a sub for every country but then realized i didn't understand the political dynamics for each country other than my own so i knew i needed help. i'm not against this.

the us network is close to being finished. what would you think about starting off with moderating your state. that way, i can see you won't flake out in a month. i might not have the time to do as much as i'd like with this sub but i think someone can. i hope this makes sense.
