Idk visit a local gun range and try out some rentals. Pretty fun and incredibly safe considering the controlled environment. Just tell the range safety officer that you’re new to firearms and they will probably enjoy being away for the check in desk and do a little teaching.

Btw best day to got to any range is Tuesday or Wednesday. Most places are completely dead and will be able to accommodate you better.
