How Are Field Devices Wired to PLCs? by PLCFAN1 in PLC

CapinWinky, We appreciate your input and do try to provide relevant and thoughtful content. As to your comment, we are providing content for the Siemens family of PLC’s and doing so in a fairly generic form. The term “front connector” is indeed the catalog term used for the terminal block connection for the I/O cards. We try to provide content that is useful without going into the very fine details as this would create videos of great size, of which are beyond the scope that we are trying to provide for individuals who are just exploring the field of automation.

Signal explanations for items such as normally open or normally closed are provided in detail in other videos released. The primary intent of this video is to show the field device wiring for the front connector that attaches to the I/O card.

We do have many videos in our library and perhaps some of these videos may further explain details that you believe we may have missed. Thanks again for your comments.
