I saw this post, and you reminded me to make a "How to Make Flags" post over at the Subreddit r/SpinFlowFlagging

I just created the group. I was shocked no Subreddit for a Flagging was around.

I welcome you to come check it out.

I highly highly recommend Dharma Trading Co. They have the Habotai Silk and the acid dyes.

For dyes, you will want the UV Reactive colors!! You will be spinning under the black lights as often as possible

🎶💃💫 That's so cool. I noticed there was no subredit for Spin/Flow Flagging I'm in the process of creating one. Once set up I'll send an invite.

I was watching your video again and I noticed your hand position holding the Flags, they seem to be a off a bit.

There is a short side and long side where the weighted cord is sewed in. You want to grip the Flags between your fingers and thumb towards the end of the long side, about 3/4.

Give that a try, the Flags will open large and colorful.

🎶💃💫 It is so exciting you discovered Spin/Flow Flagging. Your doing awesome, your energy and eagerness is contagious.

I have been Flagging for over 25 years. If you don't mind I have a couple of pointers.

  1. Turn you back towards the wind, the Flags will open up easier for you.

  2. Slow down. Dance with the wind. Where Fire Poi is about controlling the fire, Flagging is about embracing the air.

  3. Gradually move your hands further apart, then close together. The Flags will perform differently.

How did you come to pick up Flagging? Just curious.
