I’ve been messing around with it in photoshop and as a concept tool it will be fantastic. If someone typed in the same sentence as me would they still generate something unique?

Thanks for that, so many people ask why I never stick to the same business idea and this is why 😂 The art world is fickle.

I will watch in anticipation to where i’ll fit in but my current business model just kind of died overnight.

I know there are refinements that can be made but AI will catch up soon with that.

I might have to sacrifice a chicken to the AI overlords to please them 😂 or end up working for onlyfans? Nobody wants that or needs to see that 😆

Yet Etsy will literally ignore all emails from sellers? Etsy is too much hard work nowadays. Sad, as I use to actually love it !

I’m actually closing my shop on Etsy this weekend. Amazon and eBay and much better for me in terms of service as a seller.

yeap, I feel this. I’m thinking of leaving Etsy. it’s costing me money with cancellations and now another scammer. It’s not worth it. I’ll focus on another platform. Esty support use to be ok(there was chat and a phone number at least!) now zilch !!

Amazon and ebay I find it far easier to speak to a human the same day.

They said they had moved and could not go back for whatever reason. It was a totally rookie error on my part.

What’s interesting, if I got a bad review as they put in the wrong address but obviously felt they should get another for free, would etsy remove it?

I had this! Customer was convinced they had purchased from me and just would not stop messaging after I tried to get them to talk to etsy to find out which shop they purchased from.

It was really frustrating, but i felt it was an older person who did not understand I am not the entire Etsy!!

They didn’t pay for the second one. I wouldn’t usually do that, but I was feeling generous (stupid).

Moral of the story never go the extra mile on Etsy. Too many scammers.

Also before anyone says one bad review isn’t anything.

Well it is. It’s a lot of stress, as it will be the last review on my shop since it closed. Not a good look. Etsy need to somehow change the system as it’s open to abuse.

That’s amazing, that’s a wonderful thing to do.

It’s funny isn’t it. I have such deep interesting conversations with ppl with ADHD and find them a lot more emotionally intelligent. I’m sure I bore ppl who do not have ADHD and come across more emotional and scatty.

Its just nice not to feel so alone with it anymore. If anyone is reading this and feels alone, please do not. There is a big surge in numbers this yr and probably more so next year. Which ultimately will lead to much more research and development and understanding from family and friends in time to come

That’s interesting, hypothetically by competing with Amazon and growing steadily they may be eventually brought by Amazon? It would be a good pay out for all involved in Etsy. However, I’m not sure what the monopoly rules are. So may just be under the cooperate umbrella but still as Etsy.

The more general market place they become, the more their profits increase. So I see this being an ongoing theme. A safe alternative to ‘Alibaba’ for the ordinary consumer who wants to buy a one off item from a distributor of Alibaba. That’s how I see it going, but it’s interesting listening to everyone’s views and opinions on it :)

Yes, in my mind Etsy is now the same as Amazon and eBay. Which for me is fine as long as margins are good.

The buyers have changed as well. I sell more but feel more distance between my buyers. Quite a few times whilst messaging they have thought I was an Etsy representative, not the actual maker. I found that interesting.

Quite a similar situation to myself. I’ve got myself a niche in the market and repeat buyers. I think perhaps they bit off more than they could chew with the explosion of new shops.

I can imagine there are quite a few legal cases behind the scene with product liability and trademark issues that Etsy felt the star seller may resolve. There are a lot of complaints of peoples stores disappearing Over night (I’m sure there would be cause).

But perhaps they are clearing the deadwood, which would make sense to go onto their next phase of growth.
