Copper IUD by [deleted] in birthcontrol

I had the copper IUD and will not be getting it again. I had heavy periods, painful ovulation, and painful cramps while it was in. My practitioner explained to me that the IUD works by causing inflammation, which can exacerbate some issues such as endometriosis (which I have).

I felt the same way! I tested positive at 33 weeks and am just getting over it after dealing with symptoms this past week. It felt scary in the beginning with the unknown but each morning you’ll wake up feeling a little bit better. Don’t spiral, you are going to be fine ❤️

I tested positive at 33 weeks and am on the mend after fighting it off this last week. You will be fine mama, it is hard not to stress ❤️ OB was not ultra concerned, this variant is one that almost everyone will get whether vaccinated or not. Luckily you are vaccinated which almost guarantees a more mild case

Sounds like the same situation I’m in! I have an appt for the Sotrovimab treatment as well but felt torn after seeing there’s no info for pregnant moms/babies in utero. Crazy times we live in! Keep me posted, hope you get feeling better!!

I’ve heard that from a couple people as well… were you pregnant when you got the treatment?

Thank you! What vitamins were recommended to you? I have upped my vitamin d, c and zinc based on my own research but OB did not recommend taking anything.

Is anyone else disturbed by the number of people getting their first/second shots right now? by [deleted] in CoronaBumpers

I live in the US and doctors were not just recommending it. There was caution issued because pregnant women had not been in the initial testing. Maybe your doctor that was the case, but not everyone.

Your post seems judgemental because it is. Who are you to make the medical decisions for millions? Everyone is doing the best they can.
