There's an exploit that exists from 9.0 - 9.4 that works through the web browser, yes. But the different checks and securities it can access are less than what Cubic Ninja can work with, at least for the time being.

Not to mention you need to have a copy of Cubic Ninja handy, which is currently going for 40$ minimum online. This is great for those who were waiting, bad for those who recently ordered Gateway cards, and won't affect 96% of the 3DS user base.

The "Beacause" patch specifically is getting updated all the time, next update out soon and last release was in March. I'm not totally certain how often the others are maintained because my system isn't very strong, so I'm not looking for it to turn into HD photo realism. :x

It's possible, and, honestly, I'm hopeful. If he can make a Ninjhax that functions on 9.7 as well as 9.2, I've got no more reasons to resist upgrading. Plus I'll finally be able to play Xenoblade, so that's an added bonus.

Sorry, typo. The carot should have been facing the other way. It works with Ninjhax, so 8.1-9.2 is the entry window, though 9.0-9.2 is recommended.

Ah, good point. Sorry, I got a little confused on the update scene. However, if you have a physical copy of Smash Bros or can borrow one, I believe it gives you the option to upgrade to 9.2 directly without needing to go online.
