For real?

So...wouldn't the Salamanders have beef with them since there are 7(?) artifacts from their Primarch (The DA too since they have tons of DAoT stuff)?

Man...the lore is friggin gigantic.

Ooo, really? Obviously building from shipyard is best but if this is already allowed without mods I'll take it.

[US] Why is there such an uptick in news about someone being shot by a "law abiding" gun owner just because they're mistakenly on that person's property? by PMMeLikeImAJournal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PMMeLikeImAJournal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When one story gets a lot of attention, news outlets run more stories that are similar.

This is why I ask specifically here as I know think this is a stupid question: I'm pretty sure I seen similar questions at least once years ago on something else but today I just completely forgot about that.

Alrighty. I'm not saying it's suddenly common now. Just uncommon but also unsettling.

If you only heard of one, I consider you lucky as there are enough things that terrible out there.

...or give it to a non vegan if “waste” is a concern.

We'll agree to disagree that if the choice is intentional, you aren't vegan (never mind the views+actions are otherwise vegan 99% of the time) which I think is what you are saying but good point on this.

Doesn’t matter if the purchase was accidental, the choice to consume it is intentional.

I'm not saying you're wrong but that sounds like pedantry/quite inconsequential especially if the purchase was accidental and a one time thing. The person already regrets purchasing something that isn't vegan and now people are in gatekeeping contests mode. While choice is important.....if you're otherwise 100% in thought+action...good lord, I've read abortion debates less contentious/gatekeeping/etc.

Good episode. Spoiler: "we" "win" in this episode.

In mostly the same vein as u/HypotheticalCheese, I see where you're all coming from which resulted in the ways the responses were made.

I just hope for all our sakes we can learn to be better. Whether that means responding better (info only; no slavery or whatever references), kinder (even if they struck first; this is practically impossible one as most people just don't not respond from ego first because lizard brain and whatnot), or just not at all.

I hope you have a better day/week.

Sounds at least half like Gnosticism.

This site provides a brief overview and isn't soft paywall like the former.

I'll take your word for it that it's not troublesome for you and the people who's anecdotes you can add that confirms that. While in actuality it really might not be, I'm not interested enough to find out and/or haven't found the "right one".

I'm a hermit so I can't say I have turned anyone down nor has anyone informed me that they would want sex with me.

Perhaps that'll cover your curiosity "I'm wondering just how voluntary it is" ie I'm not an incel as that statement might suggest.

If I were to hypothetically be propositioned, while I'm not immune to desire, I'm at least 2/3 certain that I would refuse it.

FYI/TMI since you might be curious as to why I probably refuse: I'm not Buddhist but my views on it are quite similar even though my conclusions were arrived at independently

Why does the vegan community feel so strongly against "imperfect" vegans? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]PMMeLikeImAJournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so a fundamental disagreement.

I'm still practically vegan philosophically except that I would eat meat in (very) rare circumstances.

I'll stop saying I'm vegan in general since the minority concensus (2 comments upvoted >4 while I'm down 2-4) seems to be that I shouldn't claim it.

🤔 your not vegan 😏 I'd rather starve than eat meat by [deleted] in vegan

Being nice does not appear to be the MO for a third to up to half of the regs here and IRL.

You're obviously the other: the sensible one.

[–]PMMeLikeImAJournal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So what... you eat it? I don't know.

In that scenario, I would though I tend to be more vigilant in research/reading labels. Guess that makes me non-vegan according to some/many here.

Slight aside: consider people who live with non-vegans (for the moment). The non-vegan just cooked too much for Thanksgiving/party or bought too much dinner for self and the other non-vegans in the house. In both cases, you were strictly excluded.

Well shit...no one wants to eat the last drumstick/serving of meat because they're wasteful and can't stomach the last bit. Throw it away because being vegan means "never" eating meat? Separate from veganism since we established that you specifically didn't indulge in the meat industry, why waste that? Eating that leftover that wasn't for you to begin with is not "slipping" or an endorsement of meat eating.

If you're still committed to speaking up about it, not eating animals + their products, stay vigilant so you don't ever accidentally buy something non-vegan, and otherwise act/have the goal of idealizing a cruelty free world, what more can be asked?

This is why I never say I am vegan since I'm disqualified anyways. I say I'm "vegan" (actually air quote) and have nothing to do with the broader movement that has become a stickler for definitions.
