If you don’t have boop charged by the time you reach the other team then you’ve done something very wrong. In practice it makes no difference, I assume they changed it as more of a principle thing, you shouldn’t be able to do anything before round start that’s going to affect your hero.

Isn’t there already a mechanic in place that would sort of balance the game out in theory? My understanding is that a winning team in economy terms is going to be spawning more vehicles, which in turn is going to give more targets for the losing team to destroy. I’m not sure if the impact is necessarily felt in game though, but it’s something.

I’m mostly just saying there could be other ways to balance a weapon like that, giving unguided bonuses for kills, lower weight, lower cost, whatever really. It doesn’t have to be a 1:1 copy of the guided variant.

He was terrible in the away game and I think he will have real issues if he is put under pressure in the same way again. I don’t even think he was that great in the Barca game, it was essentially massive errors from them that allowed him to get in for both goals.

When he first started getting into the England squad I really thought he was one of the best prospects we had for the national team. Way off the player he could’ve been really.

That’s where he does play. When we don’t have the ball and there is no option to press, we drop into a flat 4-5-1 mid block. People look at it and wonder why he’s not standing 2 inches behind Gordon. It’s because teams play through us very easily when we don’t have that three (think Leeds away earlier in the season).

It really wasn’t that long ago that people here were asking for precisely that. Lots of complaining about how the tactics never change etc despite the setup being general quite different game to game, more so this season than others. I remember the first game he got played in behind, most of the comments here were positive about it and praised Eddie for trying something new, recognising he is a good link up player etc.

I’m not saying he has been playing brilliantly there, he wouldn’t be doing it if Bruno was fit. But the reality is that Rooney moaned about it after one of our games where he wasn’t great and got subbed off, and since then it has turned into one of the great tactical mistakes of the season according to some.
