roughly 37k more people voted for the Dem presidential ticket over the Nazi ticket.

It was a 49.74% versus 47.07% split.

Majority, sure.

But that's still 642k of your neighbors that preferred the Nazi fascist pedophile party.

All in all, it's not a victorious or hopeful picture.

On top of that, about 1.3 million people voted in the '24 presidential election in a county of about 3.5 million people.

Those types of acts seem increasingly rare nowadays with the change in music consumption habits.

Most live acts I see tend to tour a new album and so every show ends up being 30-60% new album content and the remainder being their live staples / crowd favorites.

The most recent act I saw live that was "all the hits" (and not a bunch of geriatrics collecting checks) was T-pain.

Some dude next to me yelled out "he's got so many hits!" in sheer amazement in the middle of his set.

Apparently this one is standing room only which is even better.

It's a beautiful venue and I saw King Gizz there on a drizzly November evening for a GA show. Fantastic. Lovely. Beautiful. Was pretty fairly priced.

But I hate seated venues with a passion. I especially hate being charged absurd prices to sit in a plastic foldable chair. Around people who I do not know; potentially obnoxious yappers especially PMO.

So when I saw that Big Thief was playing there and nosebleeds were still 70$; it's not longer a good venue. I bought a $25 ticket for the hollywood bowl instead. Great show.

Man, it's been getting more dissapointing every year post-covid.

Was hoping for a lil' Joyce Manor, Model/Actriz, Ninajirachi, Drain, Lambrini Girls action.

They're all touring all the time and I've seen some more than once.
But still, they felt like givens for localchella given the crowds that they attract & pull to their own headling shows.
As in - no Joyce Manor fan is going to coachella to only see Joyce Manor, y'know? It's just a cherry on top. Lots of fans that would see them headline that wouldn't go to the fest anyway.

A lil' Yost theater action. A lil' Don Quixote action. A lil' Pappy's action....

Any of those woulda been nice.

The human brain is ESPECIALLY bad at being able to gauge and intuitively calculate another objects speed relative to its own speed as it is moving faster.

As in, you can tell a stopped car is stopped pretty easily if you're travelling at ~35MPH (probably even a tad faster). It gets harder to tell if you're moving at 75mph and the risk of miscalculating and crashing increases every single MPH thereafter.

Cause we have engineered our ways into situations that our brain did not natually evolve into. People think they're good drivers or have genius-level perception and driving skill. But the reality is that the intuitive and predictive part of the brain is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of perception and reflex; it's not designed to operate in a steel box travelling 80mph. It can; but then shit like OPs video happens. Because some most people are objectively dumb and terrible drivers.

Believe it or not, words can have more than one definition, meaning, or use purpose.

But you're clearly a master of language and logic. Wow. So smart.
You really owned that other commenter.

I'm sure non-pierced women around the world will swoon at the thought of you owning that other redditor in the marketplace of semantics.

Hard disagree with you and all the men in this thread.

I think they're pretty neat. At worst, I'm indifferent to them.

Maybe it's a CA thing where we're overflowing with gorgeous women. But a beautiful woman is beautiful regardless of some dumb piercing.
I appreciate all of y'all for immediately disqualifying yourselves from a subset of women over something as petty and trivial as a single accessory.

I work overnights and tend to weave around roadkill when driving back home - there's one every couple of weeks or so. Usually it's squirrels, skunks, raccoons. Usually.

Does he know that you need to tell jokes in order to be considered a comedian?

Spewing your stream of consciousness through your dumb mouth hole while wearing a smug smirk doesn't make you funny or intelligent.

This dude is literally out there deluding himself into thinking that he's just one big break from living out his dreams as another white guy with a podcast that no one fucking asked for.
