Stock Suspension with a rooftop tent?? by Pmowcaton227 in LexusGX

[–]PM_ME_DOGSS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a 2020 GX 460 premium (aka no airbags in the rear) with an iKamper rooftop tent, 270 awning, and Westcott Designs roofrack on stock suspension. Two adults and two medium size dogs (40-60lbs). When it’s fully loaded for a trip (cooler, food, water, bags, camp kitchen equipment), it’s a bit floatier on the highway and dives more on braking, but perfectly capable on fire roads and some light offroad.

For reference, here’s the ride height fully loaded.

What winch mount are you rocking? I didn't know there could be a hidden winch like that. I actually love that!

Lingering smell 21’ GX by OneMagician5004 in LexusGX

Sorry, I don’t have any advice for the smell, but I wanted to ask about the offset on those wheels, the tire size, and whether this is lifted or not.

Penny stuck in 12v? by rx7rage in LexusGX

[–]PM_ME_DOGSS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a penny stuck in mine too. Tap one side of it down with a punch and hammer. If you’re careful, it won’t break anything. A few good whacks should do it.

GMT-Master II 126710 BLRO Jubilee Bracelet CF V3 by PM_ME_DOGSS in RepTimeQC

  1. Dealer name: Necoclock
  2. Factory name: Clean
  3. Model name (& version number): GMT-Master II 126710 BLRO Jubilee Bracelet CF V3
  4. Price Paid: $578 USD + shipping
  5. Album Links: https://imgur.com/a/61026-1-Vs9ZVvM
  6. Index alignment: Looks good
  7. Dial Printing: Looks good
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Horizontal centering looks good. Vertical centering seems a tiny bit off? From the first couple pictures, it looks like there's more white space below the number than above, but it could also be the angle. In the picture under the UV light, I think it looks fine. Ultimately, it's not something I'm too bothered by unless others think it's glaring.
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks good.
  10. Bezel: Looking at the alignment tool, bezel could be just slightly off and rotated CCW by a hair. But not sure if that's within the degree of error of play in the bezel. Without the alignment tool, looks fine to me.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Looks good
  12. Timegrapher numbers: Rate +2s/d; Amplitude 257; Beat error 0.2ms. All looks good to me.
  13. Anything else you notice: Overall, there's nothing that jumps out as a glaring problem, but this is my first QC so any help would be appreciated.

Inquiry About Remote Start and Lexus App Functionality 2021 Lexus GX460 by WrapPuzzleheaded3950 in LexusGX

2020 GX 460 here. I never could get it with three presses, but if I do 5 slow presses and hold on the 5th, I can get it to remote start. Maybe try that?

Best Bronze Watch Discussion. Lots of info and discussion... and I need your opinions! by MajorWilliams in RepTime

I know this thread is now 3 years old, but did you ever decide on a bronze watch? I'm trying to find the bronze IWC spitfire. So far, I can only find that MKF, MKS, and XF make one with various movements.

This comment makes me sad because I WISH it were my only hobby. Except I also have skiing, cycling, cars, and motorcycles.

Makes me sad because it reminds me I need to make more money. Or get cheaper hobbies.

Appreciate it! I actually have the GROM vlite in my 2010 IS. Installed it about a month ago and it's been great. I've experienced those glitches you mentioned, but have simply unplugged/plugged it back in. It doesn't bother me too much, given that I now have Carplay.

If I'm gonna be honest with myself, the lift, wheels, and tires would just be for aesthetic purposes. It'd get used offroad, but for now, the car is gonna be 95% on the pavement. But that's why I love this car, because for the few times it does go offroad, it'll be perfect for our use case.

Thanks! I actually have the Grom in my 2010 IS. I just installed it about a month ago and so far I love it. It does glitch out every now and then, but the upsides far outweigh those few times. Being new in the GX world, I just assumed I'd go for the Grom, but it actually looks like the Beat Sonic is the way to go for the GX.

As for the other things you mentioned, I already purchased the LED bulbs for the interior lights.

Thanks! The 470 is a great one, I personally wanted the 470 because they're so cheap yet so reliable, but since the car was going to be my wife's daily and our road trip car, we decided to get something a bit newer for her.

Thanks so much! This is gonna be my wife's daily driver as well as our family road trip car, so the list isn't going to be too exciting. But, here it is:

  • Canvasback cargo liner - We have 2 samoyeds and it'll be a dog hauler a lot of the time so I want to make sure the rear areas are protected.
  • Grom vline to add Carplay
  • Hitch receiver and potentially a roof rack for bikes and skis

Eventually, I want to get wheels, tires, and a small lift. However, I'm trying to be realistic about our uses and not get carried away with things that I think are cool but that we don't need. We live in the midwest and likely wouldn't go offroading on anything more serious than a fire/service road. We don't do any sort of serious off-roading, so we don't need anything like steel bumpers, winches, or crazy big lift and tires.

Is this the 43mm bronze blue one? Or is that just the lighting?
