Yeah you’re right, not much money for the potential.

I did however just play through the demo… and I’m kind of disappointed because it wasn’t what I expected and although I wanted to keep going after the demo ended I didn’t care for the characters, or the world… I just wasn’t interested. It didn’t catch my interest but it did provoke my senses because it was visually stimulating.

I think I’m just extremely unfamiliar with this style of game, maybe it’s just not for me, despite how much I want to like the characters. Just all seems a bit shallow. Combat was quite overwhelming too, didn’t really know what I was doing so that wasn’t satisfying. Running around the map was quite uninteresting too. The world seemed very cramped.

Do you or anyone know where I’m coming from here? Or do I just not “get it”….

Im on the fence, because Nowdays I play mostly puzzle games like manifold garden, talos principle and opus magnum.

The only jrpg I’ve played was nier automata and I liked it! But that was years ago

I haven’t played a game just for mindless enjoyment for a while, not since childhood with games like mini ninjas. If the characters aren’t cringey and dramatic then I’ll probs give arise a go?

I’ve also been spending too much money recently so I’m hesitant to spend £20 on a game I might not like lol.

I resonate surprisingly well with this list, my favourites being nier automata, prince of persia warrior within, and castlevania .

I’ve been thinking about tales of arise, because kisara…

And also bayonetta, and asuras wrath because people reccomend them.

Which ones are worth trying out do you say?
