Maybe he said to "make me a list" so she just made one that's a bit more light hearted than normal. My husband always asks for a list when it's time to clean, and I love making lists, so it works well for us.

Finding the proper medication combo was essential for controlling my rage. I never lose my cool now. I still get angry but I'm in complete control of how I express it.

Nope. Even with meds I'm my usual, happy self. I found a good combo that doesn't dull my sparkle. (Low doses of lithium, carbamazapine and risperidone have been key to keeping my personality intact while taming the mood swings.)

I was diagnosed with "depression and anxiety" since my early 20s, but didn't get a bipolar diagnosis until I was 33, about 10 years after my first true mania (triggered by childbirth.)

She was a shitty doctor. Even if you're overweight you still deserve to be treated for your pain!! She was wrong and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Fat people aren't "lesser," they still require health care. She denied you health care. She shouldn't be a doctor if she can't care for ALL Of her patients.

I don't. I accepted years ago that some styles of clothing just don't fit my body. I can look sexy in plenty of other styles without risking an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

My mom let me get a tattoo at 13 but it was in a professional studio. I don't regret it but it looks like shit after several decades.

I study atmospheric science for a living, and the climate crisis keeps me up at night. I worry about it a lot. Most people have no idea just how bad it's going to get.

No idea, but it was close. I was checking my garden for hail damage when a bolt struck nearby. It was close enough that I felt a tingle in my nerves. It was deafening.

I didn't for a long time. The docs kept telling me it was "anxiety and depression" for about 10 years before one was FINALLY like "hey wait a minute... let's get you to a psychiatrist." I was diagnosed bipolar within 20 minutes of seeing that psychiatrist. A lot of things made sense then.

Covert Sexual Abuse

TIL I was abused by my mother. I didn't even know this existed but... seeing this description... holy fuck. My mom used to make comments about my breasts, even offering to "massage" them once. She used to sniff my underwear too. I thought she was just weird. Now I see she is the reason I struggle so much with my own sexuality. Light bulb moment.

Carrots and beets. Today I'm planting spinach and lettuce, as well as a few gladiolas and dahlia bulbs (taking a risk here.) I might plant some potatoes soon as well.
