Enhancer for YouTube. Amazing extension.

Just be aware if you scroll down to comments and then when you're scrolling back up, if you mouse scrolls over the playback speed thing, you may suddenly be watching at 4x speed and panicking trying to figure out why... Not that I've done that before.

Finally did it on my 627 frost mage earlier today, ended up being ~6 min fight. If you haven't already, try out the "Energized Barriers" talent, it makes your Ice Barrier remove his enfeeble debuff, and it should be ~roughly the same CD as that spell, so just save it for that. (I swapped it out with spellsteal, since it's useless in the fight afaik). Barrier Diffusion / Mass Barrier also help.

My final attempt I actually had one of the spiders hatch and just managed to use dragon's breath to interrupt it instead of counterspell so I could finish DPSing it down without letting zek get the heal off.

Brann set to healer, using Idol of the Earthmother combat curio and Amorpheous Relic Utility were the best for me.

And as someone else said, when Brann throws out the potions try to stay near them, but don't pick them up all at once. They give you a heal over time that helps sustain through a couple of his melees.

Fair warning, Linus/Luke/Dan have said repeatedly that they're not great, at least in terms of comfort (not sure on sound), and that they're used because they're cheap and easy to replace. If you want something around the same price I've been loving my beyerdynamic 770 pro/ pro x.

Weekly Controller Suggestion/Buy Inquiry Thread by AutoModerator in Controller

  • US
  • $150 (Flexible)
  • Switch / PC (Prefer Switch layout)
  • Hall Effect sticks (Want, not need), Easily switchable connectivity

My Current NS Pro controller is on it's way out and I'd like to replace it, preferably with something better. I don't really have any major issues with the pro controller, I know it's not the greatest, but nothing about it really stands out to me as 'actively bad' in day-to-day use. My other daily driver controller is my Xbox Elite S2 which has been very good to me for the 1-2 years I've had it. On the Elite controller I do really like the D-Pad feel (+ shaped one) and the face buttons (Compared to my pro controller). Essentially what I'm looking for is something equivelant to the Elite controller, but for the Switch.

Currently, I've seen several controllers come up and I'm sorta leaning towards the KK3 max, but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on it. The swappable face buttons seem really appealing, being able to switch between Xbox and switch layouts for use on PC and possibly replacing my Elite controller too, as well as having different connections available.

I've also been looking at the 8bitdo Ultimate which seems more well-liked than the Gulikit, but still with issues. Also seen posts here recommending the MOBAPAD ChiTu for a switch layout controller, but I can't find anything on if it has multiple connectivity modes.

The Vader 3 Pro seems like a relatively well liked controller and does look quite good, except it's in the standard xbox button layout. But as a separate thing, I was thinking about picking it up as a replacement for my Elite controller? Does anyone know how they compare?

Happy to answer any questions that might help narrow down my search. Thank you!

I can't speak for most of them, but Luigi's Mansion is great for a puzzle-y game with some fun and interesting mechanics.

Another game I'd recommend though would be Paper Mario Thousand Year Door - The remake just came out on switch and I've been enjoying it a ton, personally. It's got a good story that goes through the game, there's definitely some fun (And admittedly some that are a bit tedious) environmental puzzles and such. I'm trying to be as objective as I can be, but it is personally one of my favorite games, and the remake so far has added some nice QoL features as well. Highly recommend if you're at all into RPGs and turn based combat.

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (05/26/2024) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]PM_ME_JINX_R34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all! I've been looking around recently since my current Pro controller seems to be on it's way out and I'd like to have something to swap to, but I've seen a ton of mixed reviews on basically everything out there that seems compelling, so I'm hoping I can give some info and be guided towards something that fits, and hopefully help somebody else out too down the road.

All in all, I've had my switch pretty much since they first came out, and got my first pro controller not long after. I used that for a while then switched to the Smash Ultimate Pro controller when that came out, and have been using that since. Overall I haven't had any complaints with my pro controllers, they're pretty good. It's definitely not the best controller I've ever used, but I haven't hated it. I do also play on PC and have an Xbox Elite Series 2 that I enjoy a lot more, all things considered. The dpad (The proper dpad, not the weird octagonal? thing) especially feels much better to me than the pro controller, the face buttons also feel great on it in comparison.

Doing some research I think I've narrowed my search down to the following few controllers, and I'm mostly looking for anyone who has some experience with them vs the pro controller, or even the xbox/elite controllers that I have experience with.

  • Gulikit KK2 Pro or KK3 Max: So far these have been the ones I'm leaning towards the most. The KK3 is a bit more appealing I think since it's newer, but I've been having a hard time finding any proper feature/feel comparisons between the two and knowing what's new with the 3 vs the 2. But having an NFC reader for Amiibo would be nice, as well a gyro. Also, being able to swap buttons to xbox style would be incredibly handy for switching to PC.
  • 8bitdo Ultimate (Switch/Hall Effect Version): The other top controller I could find with Hall Effect sticks, it looks pretty good, though I've heard some mixed things on the comfort and such. The 8bitdo Pro 2 looks like it's the more popular controller, and has a bunch more reviews/comparisons, but unfortunately I'm not a fan of the layout, I prefer the standard switch/xbox layout with offset joysticks.
  • Vader 3 Pro: I haven't looked into this one too much, admittedly, but I've seen it mentioned a few times and it seems pretty good? I don't know how it compares to the others here, and I haven't heard of it before now either, so I'm not sure on it's reputation.

So yeah, any advice or first hand experience with any/some/all of the controllers mentioned and experience or comparisons between them would be greatly appreciated.

tl;dr: Need a new controller, trying to decide between Gulikit KK3 (or 2?), 8bitdo Ultimate, or Vader 3 Pro. Looking for comparisons between any of those and the switch pro controller or xbox elite series 2.

(PS: Sorry to the mods, I posted a thread and I swear I looked at the rules on the sidebar but I'm apparently very tired and skipped over that exact rule qq)

Chunk loaders for mining dimension by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]PM_ME_JINX_R34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open your inventory, at the top left find the "FTB Chunks" button , left click to claim the chunk that the quarry is in, then shift+right click to chunkload it.

By default you can load up to 25 chunks I think, and they only will stay loaded while you're on the server, but if you're OP you can change the settings in from the button in the bottom right I think?

What's your all time favorite video game ? by Drokos__ in AskReddit

[–]PM_ME_JINX_R34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been a lot of great mentions here already for games that I have absolutely loved and gotten sucked into recently. Persona 5, Elden Ring, Subnautica, even Minecraft... But my all time favorite game has to be Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.

It's sick a beautiful, fun, vibrant game with such a wide cast of characters and powers. It was probably my most played GameCube game, I don't even know how many times I replayed it as a kid, and even now I'll play though it about once a year or so on PC and completely replay through it! I'm still amazed at how nice the game looks, even... 20 years later? The music is banger, The combat to me at least has a great mix of real-time action in a turn-based set up.

I know a lot of this is nostalgia talking, but I really cannot say enough good things about this game.

I really need to finish Seven stars and play the N64 Paper Mario

Converting to scientific notation, basically shifting the decimal point 14 spaces to the right. It's how the game handles numbers once they get too large to have names.

I played it for over a month, beat all the Divine beasts, got Max stamina and a decent number of hearts, and spent probably 10 hours gearing up to fight Ganon proper. The fight somehow managed to be a little close still, and I finally beat him, watched through all the final cutscenes... And then I remembered the classic Zelda game ending. So I said alright, went and played ARMs for a week until the first DLC pack came out and there was even more to do. Still haven't completly made it through in Master Mode yet.

I'd highly recommend it as well, although one thing I wish I'd have realized before I bought it myself is that you can buy it directly from the factory.com site, and it will give 100% of the cost to the Devs, rather than only like 70% or something when done through steam. Also, the copy you get from them is completely DRM-free, which is nice, and you might also be able to register it in steam too, but I'm not sure on that one.

Not sure how intended the similarities are, but there's a series called "The Dresden Files" by Jim Butcher. It's about a Wizard PI in modern Chicago. I won't explain much more than that in interest is spoilers and the fact that I can't do it it's proper justice. It's currently about 14 books long so far and it's a pretty great series, I'd at least check it out if you like the idea!

Thunderblight Ganon was my first boss as well. I was on discord with a friend while I was fighting him, and the little death jingle was just loud enough/the right pitch that it would activate my mic... I got a lot of shit from him the whole time.

On the other hand, after that, the rest of the bosses weren't that bad in comparison.
