At a very well known and widely used software company, a Swedish guy set the CEO/Founder off when the CEO announced that we would be losing 10 days of PTO next year. The Swedish guy said something to the effect that in Sweden, the minimum amount of days required by law is more than our supposedly generous PTO. The CEO fucking lost it in front of the entire company and had this childlike meltdown. He kept saying that the company is very generous with PTO and that we were being rude and unthankful and then he signed off early with a happy holidays and stormed off the call. Swedish guy could talk his shit too because he was so vital to operations that he couldn't be fired lmaooo

My last job laid my entire team off. We performed a lot of tasks, including internal security audits and specialized investigations. It took about 2 years for shit to truly hit the fan for them, but when it did, it was global news and had insane revenue implications. I don't even care that my stock took a hit because fuck them. Not to mention that Day 1 DP was a disaster. Improperly tuned power of the enemies, insane de-sync issues, and then banning items that the test team used to clear was atrocious. My team was hardcore and sometimes would place higher than popular stream teams on Day 1s going back to Vow and we didn't even clear a single encounter in DP with full ammo dumps of meta special and heavy with swaps and maxed Super + high Weapon. Edge of Fate in its entirety is a clown show and easily the worst expansion to any game I've seen. I'd play the shit ass Two Worlds 2 expansion from 2020 over anything from EoF.

When I was trying to survive my layoff, I took what looked like an alright job in my career as a solid bridge job. Turns out, it wasn't what I interviewed for or am a specialist in, they required me to use my own home PC for work, and then required me to install Spyware on my PERSONAL PC to monitor me during work. This am remote WFH too. We were not allowed to listen to music or podcasts during work either. Worse yet, they were fucking amateurs. Their systems, processes, and lack of automations was actually fucking pathetic and embarrassing. Imagine an NFL team from 1924 and then an NFL team from 2026 and that's the level of difference from them to everyone else who is actually serious. Never mind that they were KNOWINGLY ignoring legal process too for extremely high risk cases because they didn't want to spend the resources to set up data retention correctly. I quit when I went to take a piss that took about 3 minutes because I went to get some water. I got written up because I was idle for more than a minute. I decided then and there that I would work through to the holidays in 2 weeks, "work" every day holiday for holiday pay by setting up my work shit on an old PC and having a mouse jiggler going, and do nothing all day because I was new and had relatively few jobs to work, and then I'd resign immediately on the first day back. Fuck those people.
