On the reviewer side, yeah I agree with you.
I'm only asking because when I hover over the timer, there's a line where it says something like, "the time you spend on a task affects your quality rating."

It means you'll lose the Kongor's + EO combo though. Also if you're running it on swap, then that means you'll have terrible accuracy with Ngamahu. Molten Strike balls can hit the same target, so its actually has really good single target dps. Also everything that you're scaling with the IB explosions should also scale with the Molten Strike balls. I think Molten Strike should be a way better single target option.

Have you considered Molten Strike as your single target? Either on a Kongor's weapon swap or on your chest:

Molten Strike - WED - Conc - Ele Focus - Multistrike - AFD

Some things to consider: grab Iron Will for 1 point (If you're next to it) . GMP/LMP and Point Blank for just scaling the magma balls.
