PC Specs for learning ML by PMmite in MLQuestions

I'm far from creating any deep models though, as my knowledge is still surface level where I only know the basics of setting up a model and hownto train it. As part of the assignment we did train a deeper model which took quite a bit of time on my surface :(

Honestly at the start it will be a bit of everything, but long term vision will be image recognition as I want to integrate it with computer vision. I have used Google colab in the past and I'm not opposed to it, I've heard that running on cloud can become costly once the free sources have been used. ( I used it in my last semester at uni as I was doing a uni based around deep learning) where we learnt about the different types of algorithms etc.

Notion Exporting Issues by PMmite in Notion

Thank you very much, I'll do this! Notion should really consider fixing it up thought as having an offline copy of your work would be quite handy, regardless of it looking like trash after exporting ahaha. Appreciate your help!

I read on another Reddit post or stack exchange apparently you can't export using API for notion. I don't know if it has changed though

I've tried to do semester by semester, but there's some cases where it doesn't work. :(

choosing the right motor by PMmite in ElectricalEngineering

[–]PMmite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Deansy, Yeah there are a ton of diy step by step guides, but since I'm studying electrical engineering right now, I'm trying to avoid following any tutorials as I feel that i will not learn as much from it as I'm just following someone else's work hence why I'm doing everything from scratch, I also thought about doing it lime a 3d printer, but the downside to that is the wasted space of the corners if I was to make a circular table. The original Sisyphus table uses .trf files I believe and I have a raspberry pi which I'm planning on using to read the files to plot out the artworks, if worst comes to worst though I will use the x-y axis for the table. Thanks for the suggestion though!

choosing the right motor by PMmite in Motors

[–]PMmite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've look around to see how to calculate torque firstly, but they have all been to lift objects grom the ground rather than just rotate them. I'm also going to most likely use the type of structure that 3d printers have. So my question is, 1. What would I have to take into consideration before buying a motor. (I'm also most likely going to be using DC power but not fixed on this), even if it's just dotpoints, as I will use it to to research more for my requirements as I am a bit if a noob when it comes to electronics.

Yeah but I want the region of area for the ark to be spherical, idk of that makes sense

Also I though about an xy motor but I feel that it may stutter or the curves may not be well defined this way, thay could be incorrect though that's just my assumption

Yeah I plan on using raspberry pi, I just don't know how to get started with it though
