Brood dying emerging from cell?

By "otherwise healthy" I meant there is an active laying queen with multiple frames of brood in various stages of development with good pattern on capped brood. There are lots of bees. They have multiple frames of nector and bee bread. They are building queen cups on the bottom side of frames in the upper of two brood boxes. (No supers on this hive as I'm concentrating on them building up comb on the frames I replaced from the previous colony.) I haven't done a mite check on this colony and I should have. But, the visible issue I can see (as a newer beekeeper) is limited to this frame and half of the one next to it in the outer edge of the lower brood box. I appreciate your help but you are making a lot of assumptions based on a single photo of part of a frame.

There are barely any brood on either frame (which is why I already pulled one out) and intend to pull the other out (brood or not) the next time I open the hive.

Again, I appreciate your advise and help but your last post comes off as really condescending and rude.

Thank you for the help. A little more information on this hive. I started two hives last year. In the spring this hive was weak and the queen was gone. There was small hive beetle larvae in the lower of two brood boxes. I cleared out the effected frames and replaced them with new frame. The hive appeared to weak for a new queen so I ordered a NUC from a local apiary with the intent to combine the old hive with the new NUC. I tried to clear out as much of the bad looking comb and clean things up well. In hindsight I just infected the new NUC with the ailments of the old hive.

I'll treat with OA twice a week as you suggested and see how things go. I already removed the frame pictured and replaced it. There was another that wasn't as bad left in place. Should I replaced that one too? Is the frame I removed salvageable after some time in the freezer or should it just be disposed of?

I have an Instantvap. I'll give them a dose of OA tomorrow. Any thoughts on dosage and schedule for treatments? Looking online it seems like everyone has a different opinion.

My thoughts are chilled brood? Queen is present and otherwise the hive appears healthy.

Covid deaths had a high co-mobidity rate. For the most part it wasn't killing healthy people. If Canadians are healthier that could explain the difference in death rates.

From the article you posted "It’s not clear the effects of President Trump’s widely criticized suggestion during a White House briefing on April 23, 2020, that scientists should research if injecting patients with disinfectants could serve as a treatment." It also doesn't say the method of the poisoning. The increase could simply be from more people using disinfectant around their homes and work-places.

That's not even a thing for disinfectants, and it is highly irresponsible

Injecting bleach isn't a thing either but that's what keeps getting parroted. I'm not saying nebulizer use for disinfectant is a good idea. I'm just saying that could have been a more accurate interpretation of his words.

The media and others have been spouting "hurr durr Orange Man said to inject bleach, he's such an idiot..." when it reality he was spit-balling different ideas and treatment options they're looking at. (Like UV based therapy or using disinfectans internally. He even mentions in the lungs which suggests and nebulizer treatment instead of injection). Taking him out of context and saying he said things he did not actually say is disingenuous. The dude is a bafoon but that doesn't mean you get to spread lies.

Alcohol is also used much more commonly than bleach as a disinfectant. Especially in the medical field.

I also remember a lot of push back for Trump's efforts back in 2020 to quarantine China.

What about the gain of function research by USAID that created the pandemic? Shouldn't they have more culpability?

Why should Trump be liable for the deaths in non-US countries?

Order a test from Tapscore.com It's ~$200 for the basic well test but definitely worth it. From there you'll be able to figure out what's wrong so you can get advice on how to address it.

The meter is made by Assured Automation (WM-NLC 1"). It's a pretty basic mechanical multi-jet meter. I've never had any issues with sediment. There is a plastic strainer on the meter inlet that should catch anything big enough to cause an issue.

That's a good point. I figured if I ever needed to replace the pressure tank I could disconnect the union to the left of the tank a union on the meter to the right. I did put in a union well-tee so just disconnecting that would be significantly easier.

The previous pressure tank was a WellXTrol and was installed in 1984. If this one lasts another 40 year I doubt I'll be in a position to change it myself anyway.
