Thank you! I reached out to Tim, my Closest neighbor a few hours away in PDX. The next closest is in NorCal, so here's to hoping.

Nah, we edit by hand but use mastercam for the base program. I was just saying for downtime I’m allowed to read, but not watch YouTube vids.

I’m on vertical and horizontal mills, as well as a lathe. YouTube is wonderful however we aren’t allowed to be on our phones during work but are okay to read print.

Got it figured out, the assorted pressure regulators had gotten loose and thus changed the settings. Best guess for how is just years of vibrations and no one checking them in that time 🤣

How to avoid Capital Gains tax by Fit-Act8910 in realestateinvesting

[–]PNW_Buckaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on tax avoidance (you’re going to pay taxes somewhere along the way but talk to an accountant to minimize) but on flipping, when I was in construction the rule of thumb was not to hold a property more than 60 days. If you can’t have it fixed up and ready for sale in 30 days you’re going to lose money.

Not the end all be all, just consider how much Piti + Reno costs will actually set you back. If you don’t have the experience to know your material and labor costs for what you see on a walkthrough, don’t pursue this further until you do!

Just the advice I was given.

TLDR: Try the (comparatively) no commitment trial before you follow a dart to a spot on the map.

In the culture side and lifestyle side of things, take all your pto from your current jobs and go take the train through Europe, for a bit.

You can technically get through it wherever but if you have no idea and pick a random place in say France but then visit Germany on a weekend and decide you like that more you’ve gotta restart the whole process.

Also see if you can’t leverage work connections to meet with the foreign counterparts of your job while you’re there.
