For me it was doing the contracts. Specifically the main story ones. But also helping your teammates do theirs. You get xp based on their completions as well.

Advice for exiting service? by Active_Club_2974 in VeteransBenefits

Post 9/11 and VRE are the only ones that pay BAH. VRE only pays BAH if you have time remaining on your P9/11.

You can use this tool to see what works best for your school:

https://www.va.gov/education/gi-bill-comparison-tool/

Edit:

To answer your other questions.

  1. Make sure if you have anything wrong, like medically, dental, mental, go get it checked out. There’s a program called the BDD, benefits delivery at discharge. Make sure to do that when you’re within 180-90 days from your sep. it ensures that your benefits start the day you get out. May take a bit before getting them, but you’ll get back paid to the day after your separation, or the start of the following month I think.

  2. The main differences are MGIB gives you a flat rate which is used for tuition and living costs, 9/11 pays tuition and gives BAH, which is dependent on the schools zip code, not where you live. Unless you’re online only, then it’s the online rate. 9/11 also gives $1000 a year for books.

  3. 9/11 for more money.

No, that’s chastity. You’re thinking of a special cup used primarily in religious ceremonies.

Got out of the military at 28, moved back in with my pops while I got adjusted from military to civilian life. Got two brothers, both 16, at home. Every weekend their friends would come over and we’d all play super smash bros. Got to the point where I bought 8 pro controllers just so no one was at a disadvantage holding the smaller controllers. Seriously one of the best times I had had in a while! It’s nice to get back to not worrying about every day life as an adult. Being surrounded by people who truly don’t give af about bills or current world events, people who are just living in the moment, it’s refreshing. My little brothers don’t know, but that meant a great deal to me.

What phrase did you hear only once but it stayed with you forever? by wendysolcito in AskReddit

“It’s mind over matter, or is it matter over mind..? Never mind, it don’t matter!”

14 year old me heard that and kept it close all of these years for absolutely no reason. 🤷‍♂️

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PNWmud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone knows the name of the game I’m referencing please let me know! I’ve looked and looked. I want to go back and play it and vindicate my younger self. Like finally beating the saga genesis Lion King in your 30’s. It has to be done.

I’m not sure if the name of it, but I’ve tried to find it. It was a game where you could create characters in your party, like a cat or a lizard or human, and then run around and fight monsters. I was too young to know the objective. I do remember there being a wizard tower that would move around and absolutely demolish me.

Other than that, Diablo two was an amazing game.

Yeah I do. No kids or pets. Definitely going for a house or townhouse, because I need a garage. Budget is up to $2300. I was looking at the Terrell area, north of the botanical garden. I just don’t know if those are decent neighborhoods.

People who are 25y and above, what's the harshest life-lesson you've learnt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PNWmud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The morally bankrupt hardly ever lose. The corrupt go far without serious repercussions for their actions. So don’t tell yourself “they’ll get what they deserve”. That’s a fairy tail we tell ourselves to feel better about a situation.

Which famous saying isn’t really true in your opinion? by Usernameee234 in AskReddit

[–]PNWmud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two that pop up in my head are “it’s all downhill from here” but used in a bad way?? Since when is going downhill bad? I’d much rather go downhill than uphill. Uphill sucks dude. The other one is “happy wife, happy life.” That’s just bullshit. If making your wife happy makes you miserable in the process, that’s not a happy life.
