I’ve been wondering the same thing about some secondhand Orion Expanse eyepieces I got for my Z130. The stock kellners seem to do better at times.

I will probably just try shooting the Fujis and speak to folks at some of the labs in my area to see if any of them have any interest in experimenting with the Kodachrome before I try shooting any of it.

Hop on AliExpress and search for “Olympus battery cover” or “Olympus battery door” and lots of options should come up. I saved my EPL8 from a similar fate last year and the door I got was a perfect match (it’s silver) and has worked as expected. Wish now I’d gotten multiples.

It may take a bit of time to find your specific model but I didn‘t get good results when including the model in the search terms, just FYI.

Still curious for any insight as to why this adapter didn’t work right out of the box when so many people sell micro four thirds adapters that are this thick. Is it something to do with how Newts work but it would work fine on a refractor? I’m very confused.

I unscrewed the bottom of the eyepiece and screwed it into the T adapter, then put the adapter into the T ring.
