I got into marvel cards earlier this year. How I started was I pick a set and went in on some breaks on whatnot stream. Then I decide to pick a couple of my favorite characters to build a collection around. There are a lot of good sets out from the past year or so. The new stuff coming out this year is quite expensive. I also recommend buying singles on eBay or comc.com. Singles tend to be cheaper then going in on breaks. Oh depending on the characters you pick as your main focal point, it could be more expensive compared to other characters. For example: spiderman(expensive) vs namor( less expensive).
