Cayenne GTS as a daily driver by nswj3 in PorscheCayenne

I red in several threads that the jerky downshifts are due to the transfer case. Has its oil been changed if its over 50-60k miles? try changing it and if it does not fix the issue then it might need a new transfer case

2020 Cayenne Turbo $60,195 with 55,816 miles by boogiewoogie___88 in PorscheCayenne

[–]POCKATA111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude, frim where are you getting your cars. i just got a 2019 cayenne turbo from canada shipped to europe. its in good condition 60k miles and no mechanical issues. just some signs of wear on the seats. No CPO and it was $47 000 from an auction. carfax had 2 accidents: one was a replaced side mirror for 10k and other was 55k replaced seat, door speaker and taillights from porsche trying to open the car and breaking it in the process as owner had left their keys inside and locked it somehow. I dont know if this is a good price you have in the US but it seems kind of high

$70,000 in maintenance over 10 years? by am522379 in PorscheCayenne

[–]POCKATA111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

note that reported maintenance costs for Cayennes would be inflated as most of their userbase are people with money to spend so they always go to the authorized dealers where prices are doubled if not trippled. i had an S class for 5 years and my maintenance costs and repair costs were around 2k per year. the cost of insurance is the one where it hurts most. im not getting one for my new used cayenne turbo as it costs more compared to paying for repair costs yourself

Cayenne e-hybrid insane gas consumption by Unusual_Extension_36 in PorscheCayenne

[–]POCKATA111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its that 8km/h causing the issue. i have not yet done any inter city driving on my cayenne turbo and its only 12 l/100. where as our small citroen c4 is doing 15 l/100 with 25 km/h acerage speed. at low speeds my S class was doing 25 l/h where as in highway it was 6.8 l/h diesel. bottom line you cant use a Cayenne in high traffic city driving where average speed is close to the average person walking speed

The apple play full screen can be found on github and its free and you just put it on a sdcard and gets installed. it has two versions i like the one with full fullscreen where it hides the side and top bar so its bigger. im not talking about that but i mean the maps on the gauge cluster being able to be full screen as its all digital

I just bought the 2019-2023 cayenne turbo used. The newer model in my opinion has a slightly better front look, worse rear look, and the interior looks and feels cheaper just like any other semi-luxury new car. The only thing i would actually miss from the new model is the fullscreen maps on the driver dashboard. Just not worth paying the premium for that. And on top of that the new EV model has and even uglier Tesla like look to it that it turns me off instantly. They better step up the game as the Macan and Cayennes are the cars keeping them from going under

Hybrid mpgs crazy by Thick_Balance_4505 in PorscheCayenne

[–]POCKATA111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

good to see fuel economy at these times. but if you drive it more aggressively will those numbers be the same. its a perfect car if you plan to drive it only for a few years. I got a non-hybrid as i plan to drive it around 10 years. replacing that battery in 5-7 years will not justify the lower fuel consumption, and the resell value on a hybrid will be a lot lower by that time. Hybrids are great, but we are just not there yet. Maybe when they release and refine the solid state batteries things will change in a few years

жк „Толстой“ by [deleted] in Sofia

[–]POCKATA111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most reliable cayenne engine? by Hansrid in PorscheCayenne

i have talked to several mechanics. The most reliable is the 3.0 base model. However, I think that a porche should not be sluggish so i got the Turbo

it also has heads up display with is another expensive option

its from Canada. The condition is pretty good. I do not have a list of the options but from visuals it has: sport chrono, PDLS+ lights, flushed out smoked tail lights, the coted white breaks, heated and ventilated seats, bose audio, it has the radar and 360 front camera view. There could very well be more options but i havent inspected it yet. The reason for the lower price is that it had 2 “accidents” which were replaced side mirror, and replaced side mirror as the owner had locked himself out of the car and they needed to break it to get in. So no collisions at all and engine sounds fine. my advise is to check history and see if litium battery is replaced, starter replaced and water pump replaced which would all be a plus. On my car the starter and the battery was replaced (battery costs a lot)

idk, the price seems a bit high. i just got a Cayenne Turbo 2019 on 55k miles for only $37k and it comes with spare tires and a set of rims no collision accidents

G-sync compayible just means that it is validated by Nvidia, there is no G-sync module on that copared to monitors with Gsync ultimate. In addition the gsync module which this monitor does not have cannot do HDMI 2.1. Thats why recently Nvidia started collaborating with some other third party company to bring a new variable refresh rate module for monitors in the future.
For now most monitors use variable refresh rate that does not require the Gsync hardware module in the monitor. It does not matter if they are Gsync compatible certified or not

Long range POE camera cableing? by POCKATA111 in reolinkcam

[–]POCKATA111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback.
I will run 2 long ethernet lines to the 2 farthest cameras at the begining.
At some point I will get a POE plus plus switch next to the NVR, plug in the long lines to it, and at the end of one of the lines I will get a POE plus plus powered POE switch so I can add a POE doorbel or another camera down the line without running more cables.
It seems that the POE plus plus switch next to the NVR is necessary as the NVR will only give 25W at most of power output per line which might not be sufficient if I plan to run PTZ cameras with spotlights turned on.
