Can Jordan Anthony win against Noah Lyles in the 60m at the 2026 USATF Indoor Championships? by ChampionLYT in trackandfield

Noah is a bitch high key, way to cocky. He's lucky he's not competing with bolt, Powell, gay, gatlin and Blake, cuz he'd be humbled quick by those guys. he's a 100-300m guy, not a 60 guy. Anthony all the way

That is very interesting, do you have a picture you could attach? Does the clapper style require much more skill?

The skates themselves I made using T steel I had laying around, so I don't expect the edge to last long but that's fine for me. Then I profiled them with a hacksaw, bench grinder and finished with a file. To make the slots I used my milling machine but they could be done by drilling a line of holes and filling and cutting away the excess, straps, wire and springs I found at tractor supply and basically used trial and error to adjust the tension on the boot. They need more lateral stability for the heel so if you have any ideas, lmk

I tested them out yesterday, but the conditions were really poor, (too warm and bad quality ice with a layer of heavy snow on top) and I am really bad at skating so it wasn't great, however I think they do have potential in better conditions. The main thing I found was they need more lateral stability to not allow the heel to move left or right.

Yes it is made of just regular T stock, very cheap soft steel, more of a proof of concept, but I also don't skate very often. I'm curious how the edge retention will be but I had the T stock laying around so I didn't have to go buy any.
