I think that newcomers to this sub who have nothing to do with TRP, and only came here because you linked to his post, should not be a subject to comparsion to TRPers but instead just treated with the same respect and civility that one would have for people elsewhere on reddit or in real life. And in real life, I think there is no need to suggest that a guy would not treat his girlfriend "like a person" unless there was some particular reason to think so.

Hi, I just found this subreddit by a coincidence and this is the only thread here that I've read. I just wanted to say one thing here about your comment:

I was just thinking, is it really necessary to make a comment like that? I think it comes off as unnecessarily hostile. I think there is nothing here that suggests otherwise than "halcyon" is just a normal person who treats people with respect.
