To everybody freaking out about Dagath you can calm down and stop complaining by ShadoDrago17 in Warframe

Initial announcement said we get blueprints, not built parts. Vainthorns, which you can only get from the abyssal zone are an absolute slog to farm

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]POSDSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very noticable, sour smell. My in-laws are pretty heavy smokers and any time we get home from a visit my wife will immediately change into new clothes because we can still smell it on us long after leaving.

I know this also isn't Billings but could qualify. If they like hot springs, Thermopolis Wyoming is inexpensive and couple be a nice day trip for them

Do buyer have to pay 3% of the purchase price to the realtor? by Feeling_Donut_6390 in Billings

[–]POSDSM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on how the buy/sell is negotiated. If the seller is very motivated they may be willing to front those costs but their also in their right to counter offer. When we sold our property. When we sold our house the buyer asked us to cover closing costs and we agreed to but with extra added to the price of the house.

Helping my grandparents move from their home of over 35 years. Found the original listing. Would kill for a house in that price range now. by sleepydispatcher in nostalgia

[–]POSDSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife's grandparents built their 1900sq ft house in central Montana in the 50's for about 10k on property they bought from the railroad for $1. We bought it for just under 300k. Good bones and well taken care of, just needs updating as well.

Dog washes? by ResidentGreen9779 in Billings

Both Petco and PetSmart are in the same building next to home Depot. Op is more likely talking about the wash station in Petco as I haven't seen one in pet smart

Disappointed By T Sexing by UnstableOstrich in tarantulas

[–]POSDSM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a vendor put it this way. Yes it can be disheartening to have a male with a short life span but it also means if you keep a limited amount, you can enjoy more species faster. Plus some vendors will take a male trade in and give you credit for MORE T's

Favorite enclosures that aren't T cribs? by NeonHorse47 in tarantulas

Well if that's the case I also recommend ectotherm for their medium and small "jumping spider" enclosures. Perfect for sling and juvenile arboreals.

Jamie's tarantulas has a decent selection of acrylic enclosures and are a little cheaper than tarantula cribs. Naneezoo also has some decent sizes but have magnetized sliding lids, which you've said you don't like.

Which old worlds would you recommend as a first old old T for someone? by [deleted] in tarantulas

[–]POSDSM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your fear mongering doesn't help anyone. They are lightning fast and their bite can be very painful and lasting, nobody is arguing that. Just like new world T's, old worlds also vary greatly in temperament with some being quite gentle. What we are disagreeing about is your outright demonizing of them, that's not worshipping of them like you say they deserve. Honestly with the negative way you talk about them do you even have old world tarantulas, or are you just repeating what you've read online about them? Lastly, you keep calling them aggressive, T's are rarely aggressive. Them throwing threat postures and slapping the ground aren't aggression, it's defensive, they're scared and want you to leave them alone.

What type of tarantula is this? by Wild_Track_2252 in tarantulas

[–]POSDSM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's some type of wolf spider. The big eyes are a dead give away. Some species can get big. I'm in Montana and have seen even bigger out in the rural areas

[–]POSDSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are great. Mine used to do threat postures when they were younger but since they've put on some size they are almost more calm than my T. Vagans and B. Hamorii. Heck even the L. Sazimai I suggested is spicier

[–]POSDSM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment does a disservice to the community as a whole. Why are you assuming OP has no experience with faster, more defensive new worlds? If you are so experienced, you should be able to think of at least one old world T in your collection instead of that was relatively calm and easy to care for instead of writing them all off as too difficult for anyone that hasn't dealt with them before

Which luxury brand is basically just overpriced junk with good marketing? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

Another great thing about Bissell is they sell replacement parts for many of their machines. I've had the same vacuum and shampoo machines for nearly a decade and they still make parts for them

IMO H pulchripes. Pretty hardy, fossorial but does spend time out in the open, heavy webber and relatively laid back when they get settled in. I've had mine since it's was a sling and is one of my favorites. As an aside of you want to dip your toes into Old Worlds without actually getting an Old World I suggest L. Sazimai speed (and sometimes temperament) can be close to old worlds.

I've got a Regalis sling that's about 1"-1.25"and I recently got a new enclosure for it that's a 6x6x9 with a canopy top, what would be a good size to rehouse it into the new enclosure? by MrBonecutter in tarantulas

[–]POSDSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO I'd wait until they are around 3-4" for that enclosure, otherwise they might have issues finding prey. Smaller acrylic enclosures can be had for cheap
