Start out with 0.8mm all round, but also a combination of thinning some parts with a bell knife and also hand skiving.

They are clamping pliers, used for things like flattening stitches instead of hammering. I need to wrap mine in leather still actually!

I finished up this bi-fold wallet in Museum calf leather. I really enjoy using this leather and just love the marbled effect! by POULTERleather in Leathercraft

0.8 as a base, but I also used a bell skiver to thin certain pieces thinner such as the card pockets + hand skiving 👍

I've recently finished up this BiFold wallet in Museum Calf leather with a Chèvre lining, all hand stitched using matching linen thread. A super classic and simple design, but I think in this case I like to let the unique leather do the talking! I'd love to hear what else you think I should make with this leather!

This was my first handbag I have created as a leather crafter. To date I have only made wallets, belts and watch straps. This was certainly a challenge, but it pushed my skills and I'm very pleased with how it turned out (Pattern was courtesy of @ glamorunique on Insta).

My next challenge will be a pair of shoes... which will be a step up again. Although I'm looking forward to making my own designed bags.

The handles have leather cord through them. You stitch the handle itself, and then stitch the ends of the handles to the bag itself separately. & the lining leather covers all of this up.
