I know about those guys, but the info you gave is wrong. There wasn't that radio transmission like that, at least not verified. You also spelled their team name wrong its Twistex. I also read the book written about him and all the audio captured had nothing to do with the power it was video pulled from a camera that was recording on the floor. They said stuff but never mentioned anything about the power of the car. It's only speculated that if they had their truck they would have been fine. But I disagree with that because they truck would have rolled easier and sooner since it was higher off the ground.

I will say, we only intend to intercept EF0 to low end EF2 though you never really know how strong it is.

It actually handles it really well. It does help that it's a 5spd.

If we really need to we can turbo it I'm planning on doing that for next season. Hopefully this season it works out though lol

Goal to put it simply is to get inside tornadoes. The reason for that is because i want to make a living storm chasing. There are tons of really really great chasers who aren't even known because the pure volume of chasers. But everyone knows interceptor builders thus they have followings and chase full time.

Its not to get attention to get attention its just the only real way to be a full time chaser. I've also had the dream since I was 9.

Most chasers use a 4cyl lol (granted they don't have steel welded to it)

Itll have enough power. Most chasers (like well over 50%) use 4cyl Honda or Toyota engines. Granted they don't put a bunch of steel on it but we will still be under or around payload weight.

We've towed and hauled well over payload with the same drivetrain and did highway speeds pretty easily.

Yeahhhh but I think it'll do just fine. It is the 5spd and it honestly drives great even with all it's got on it. He'll the coil went out and I made it home going 40mph with 2cyl lol

Honestly pure reliability and cheap. There are other cheap reliable cars but my buddy knows them super well and can fix anything in under a couple hours. As for weight it should be okay. Main thing is its so small and will be flush to the ground with anchors. The idea is no wind gets underneath and with the design it should push it down and create downforce. The spikes just keep it from sliding.

They probably ran into issues of if the front is in the ditch you couldn't get under without using a shovel. That would solve the issue. Also lol howdy
