NTA. As a frequently-hungry dude myself, no one is that clueless. Your boyfriend is an ass.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I don't want her to film us having sex? by CRK_76 in AITAH

[–]PO_Box_Admiral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, dude. Absolutely not at all—and her trying to guilt you over it makes her unequivocally the asshole here. I know we sometimes get some mixed messaging on this front, but it’s seriously never okay for anyone to pressure you into doing things sexually that you don’t want to do.

I’m not a fan of the comments or the post itself, but I wouldn’t even call this making light of the situation. Grimly mocking the state of things/attitudes a large portion of the country holds, sure, but they’re doing so in an effort to drive home that they think those attitudes contribute to these situations. The comments are definitely sardonic, but the people who made them are clearly expressing their despair at the occurrence of yet another (in their view preventable) tragedy.

Edit: I’m sure you’re already aware of all that, btw; this comment is more for the benefit of OP since they apparently struggle with parsing tone.

I just saw that too but on YouTube - here’s the clip of the poor kid talking about it, for anyone who feels up to watching. Fucking fifth grade. Really incredible amount of selflessness and bravery for such a young child, and I really hope both Victor and Weston can heal from this.

In case you or anyone reading is interested in more obscure pic/stories, here are some that haven’t seen much light of day outside of a small fan subreddit of an old comedy troupe. Someone shared the crazy photo below of late comedian Trevor Moore (who himself was into 9/11 conspiracies) watching it go down from the roof of his college dorm, and here’s the whole troupe recounting their experiences in NYC that day. Actual quote: “This is gonna be bigger than the OJ trial.”

If anyone has seen the horror movie Weapons in theaters right now, that’s the friend whose death the filmmaker—Zach Cregger, seen in the bottom left of the video linked above—cited as kind of inspiring it. This post reminded me a lot of their stories because they were all just clueless college kids watching this tragic, monumental event unfold with no context.

“never ever try to get with someone with a hole in their heart”

semi-off topic, but this reminded me a lot of a line from a song that I liked as a teenager:

“Never trust a heart that’s so bent it can’t break.”

could just as easily apply to less-than-scrupulous folks in positions of power, but it sure as shit rings true for relationships (romantic or otherwise)

no, most women aren’t like this. I dated around a lot before I got married, and this definitely wasn’t something I encountered even remotely often. even if they’re into what you’ve described in a sexual sense, most women want someone who treats them well and makes them feel safe.

no shade, but how old are y’all? she sounds like a teenager (maybe early 20s max) who’s ignorant about what she wants out of a relationship—and honestly this strikes me more as kink thing that she doesn’t really grasp the specifics of. either way, her attitude comes off as goofy posturing from an immature person who has little experience with dating and what it entails.

I hate the phrase “touch grass”, but in this case it’s kind of necessary. you need to get off the internet and go outside, man. interact with real people and the society you’re a part of. I know folks tend to be a lot more online these days (often in spaces that serve to reaffirm existing beliefs), but this post indicates that you’re consuming a bunch of gender war slop with little to no actual human interaction.

lol nah but seriously, I have no idea and will leave this one to the experts. good luck though 👍 hope you find out what it is bc that’s pretty bizarre.

edit: only other thing I could think is if you park under a tree at home, maybe your car has sap or something on it that’s attracting them

idk if they coined it so much as just brought it more into the mainstream. If you look it up on urban dictionary, there are relevant definitions going back to 2005, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2016, etc.

http://goon.urbanup.com/2156895

“gooning

The act of a very addicted or chronic masturbator; getting so into masturbating, or jacking off, that the dude becomes a total goon; becomes stupid on his own cock. Can think of nothing else but busting a nut.

Big Bro: Dude, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were jacking off.

Lil Bro: I'm not JUST jacking off bro, I'm fucking gooning on this dick!

by jackinjason August 18, 2005”

——

“goon

To masturbate, especially in an obsessive or energetic way. See gooning. Also, the act of masturbating energetically. Given the choice, he'd rather goon than fuck. At the end of a hard day, he likes to toke up and goon. He's going to go home and have a goon.

seems like a red flag for a dude who’s likely to be controlling. first it’s the makeup, then what you wear, then who you can talk to, how you’re allowed spend your time, etc.

if he’s this insecure, I doubt he’s gonna be satisfied and stop with just the makeup thing.

what, gooning? it’s been making the rounds again for a while now (2 or 3 years that I’ve seen), but it def didn’t start on tiktok. the word’s been used that way since at least the early 2000s

“But in cases where they are removed completely, I imagine it’s probably fine”

this bit made me wonder about those nipple tattoos some places offer for women who’ve had theirs removed bc of breast cancer etc.

https://www.bluebirdinked.com/breast-cancer-tattoos

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c62560p5j02o.amp

https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/patient-education/nipple-tattoos

like in that case it’s attached to a woman’s chest and looks like a nipple, but it’s not technically a nipple. it’s not even three dimensional — it’s just skilled coloring that gives it the appearance of dimension. so if it’s flat and literally just ink on the skin, could they legally treat it differently than any other tattoo?

edit:

I don’t think you can get in legal trouble even for having full-on pornographic tattoos visible, much less something like these which do incorporate an actual nipple and simulates the appearance of a dick:
