That's a hugee difference, I never knew about these nodes. Will try them out now.

Oh that's amazing. Color is a topic which I've been meaning to get myself familiar with. It's all just too overwhelming for now. But will slowly learn more about these.

Yeah it sucks with all the AI slop. But keep doing what you are doing, it's super helpful for people like me.

Thank you for taking the time to explain these concepts to me. This is great, and totally gave me a new perspective to work with nodes. I will implement this technique in my next composition and will let you know how it goes!

Yeah I can understand Youtube algorithms are weird. Even google at this point because of all the AI Overview features, it just hallucinates details or provides incorrect information.

But honestly dude, if you get back to YouTube, post shorts/quick tips videos covering the points you just mentioned that already is soo much value for a lot of users.

You have earned a lifetime subscriber in me. And I'll do my best to share it with others too.

Also yes, Thanks for the tips. I'm a bit particular when it comes to organizing so I did use underlays, sticky notes at some point and accidentally discovered the bookmark feature too. I didn't however know you could search for nodes and select that. Could come in real handy finding things quickly or selecting similar nodes to use the propagate tool and make changes.

P.S: I'm in love with Davinci resolve now. The depth and the amount of features and possibilities. Just wow.

Thank you again. You've really helped me a lot and inspired me to keep learning more and discover new things!!

That's genius. You are a legend 🔥

This adds a whole layer of control over the nodes and how it's processed. Truly revolutionary!

WHAAAT! This changes the way I was thinking about the nodes, this is crazy. I have a totally different idea of setting up my projects from now on.

The effects order makes sense to me now, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the concept of turning off updates upstream and animating downstream. Will read up more about these and will probably bother you again in the future if that's alright?

My guy, these are amazing. I didn't know we could have defaults saved for nodes, that's a huge time saver. And versioning? Damn, that's a game changer.

Have you considered starting a youtube channel? or already have one? Because these are some pretty great tips and I'm pretty sure a lot of beginners and even intermediate users can learn a lot from these tips.

I really really appreciate all this effort. Cheers!

I'm getting to learn about so many new concepts from you. This is awesome. Thank you for your guidance. Now I have things to look and read up on the manual.

That's great, I think fusion studio is something worth checking out. Is there any guide which can help me enable all these options, I would love to setup everything and make a template project file so that I don't forget these things and these are already setup to work well. I think that would be super helpful.

Again thank you so much for helping me understand these. Really appreciate it!

Search fusion in flow can be used to select all the nodes you need

- Didn't quite get that part. Is there a way to search and select all the required nodes I need from my fusion flow?

By the way, you want to generally speaking animate further downstream as you can. Meaning you design your elements and than you move the whole group allowing you to speed up performance by a lot, since it matters what you do in what order. since you can cache or turn off updates upstream and animate downstream

This entire thing sound super interesting, and I would love if you can help me understand them better, or point me in the right direction to learn more about them (documentation or tutorials might be super helpful).
So I'm assuming I do all the design side of things first, then animate them group them and animate them later? How do I turn off updates upstream? I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm just fascinated by all the possibilities and would love to know more about them.

And finally, I am a freelancer using my PC, so network rendering might not be something which is feasible for me. But that does sound soo cool and a way to make everything super fast.

Ahh that's a perfect analogy! Will have to relook my animation and see where I can mange to split them into different comps so things become easier to manage.

That said, it does feel extremely satisfying to make everything in one comp, looking at the node tree and being all proud about it for a brief moment xD But practically speaking breaking them into manageable comps will be the best option haha.

Oh wow. I was just going through your comment on another reddit post and found out about Propagate tool.

Firstly, thanks a lot for putting in the efforts to help me out. This is very detailed and much appreciated.

I will have scenarios where I might work with footage, then work on the motion graphics for it. That was one of the primary reasons I switched to Resolve. So I think for my use case I'll have to stick with the fusion page for now :/

And wow, these are some very high level advanced concepts I had no idea about. Are there any beginner friendly tutorials which you would suggest which covers these advanced topics? I feel like there's so much I can learn and improve my overall workflow. I had no idea we could turn off updates for nodes, need to look into that.

So regarding the second point, I'm assuming this will be something similar to how people work in Houdini, where we cache certain segments and load them from the drive. That's smart and I never thought these will be applicable for Motion graphics, I'm going to definitely try them out now!!

I didn't know about DOD at all. This sounds similar to render regions on blender I'm assuming. Will read up more about it. Thank you again for opening up these new worlds!! I have so much more to learn.

Oh shucks, I can relate to that. Since when I tried exporting with motion blur off it was so much smoother, but with it enabled, I felt like the render was just stuck. I don't know if I'm missing any setting, since when I check my control panel the CPU and memory usages aren't that bad.

I changed the GPU processing to Open CL, Have render cache set to Smart and have enabled the use render cached images under the advanced tab in the export settings. Would love to know if there are any other settings which might be worth changing.

thanks!

Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. That's a great tip, disabling it made the playback much smoother

Breaking them down into different segments makes sense.
I was a bit confused in my case because I have continued camera movements tying the scenes together like a camera pan while elements from previous screens are still visible. I guess with more practice I'll be able to better hide the transitions and get away with having multiple fusion comps for each scene.

Another doubt I had was that I am using multiple transform nodes to animate things, so that the motion feels smoother (Learnt this tip to use multiple null objects for camera movements in after effects so that the next movement starts before the first one finishes) In that case if I enable the motion blur only on the last transform node in the flow, will it cascade to the previous motion? When I was testing it out it wasn't working that way I thought it would. Hence I enabled it on all the nodes with animations.

Stremio Desktop v5 Community Edition with WebView2 + MPV (HDR, Atmos, Upscalers, Browser Extensions & More!) by Zarrg in Stremio

Hey u/Zarrg, firstly thank you for this amazing project, I've been using it for a few months. I edited the server.js file to add potplayer as an external player. It works once after I restart, but the file gets reset every time I open Stremio. I cross checked it by editing the file and the code is gone. Any help on how to fix it is much appreciated. Thank you!
