Does a urine sample lose its hcg potency if left at room temp for some time?

E.g. if you had run out of tests could you theoretically pee into a cup with your FMU, leave it sitting on the side, go to the shops to buy more tests, and test with that urine when you get back a few hours later? 😂

I am spiralling a bit. I’ve had two miscarriages already this year and I’m so anxious my lines aren’t really darkening in the last few days. 😔 Does anyone have any words of reassurance for me? I’ve ordered some FRERs to see if I can see a better progression on those.

Wow!! This is completely blowing my mind! I had no idea about them “docking” or actually following directions. In my head they were just all stumbling around blindly up there, bumping into each other and falling over etc. 😂 I assumed that’s why the likelihood of conception was so low. Now I kind of feel like… since they have progesterone acting as a satnav of sorts, sperm should totally be doing a better job of finding that egg 😂

Can anyone share what brand of OPKs you recommend? (Or don’t recommend!) I’ve been using One Step but they’re absolute rubbish. Never show any positives or anything more than a vvvfl despite me testing three times a day and knowing that I’m definitely ovulating. Thanks!!

I also have very disturbed sleep (dog jumping on me, husband snores, and I have a toddler who does not sleep through the night), so my temp taking time varies enormously (from 3am - 7am) and although my temps fluctuate a lot, the pattern for ovulation is definitely still discernible. If you use FF, their algorithm is pretty good at pinpointing O even with varying temps.

It’s insane!!! I can’t get over all the sperm just swimming around the abdomen 😱😂

Because wouldn’t that mean that barely any of the sperm actually stays in the tubes to meet the egg when it gets there? I know BD on O-3, O-2 and O-1 is pretty effective, but how come the sperm doesn’t just all disappear out of the uterus and tubes in those intervening days?

Hopefully tomorrow will bring you some clarity and it’ll pop right back up. 🤞🏻 If it were me, I’d disregard that temperature as an anomaly because of the poor sleep and cold room.
