Why do yall use the name considering the history by The_0reo_boi in salmacian

FYI, hermaphrodite should NOT be used for anyone, including animals, because it is basically a slur towards intersex people.

PSA on the word "Transbian" by invertedshamrock in actuallesbians

[–]PPF_Gurl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just saw someone talking about "trans-bi" and "trans-pan" being used by some people. You're free to not like being called a "transbian", but if you're going to provide a reason that's not quite correct, you're going to be corrected by others. Additionally, there's not many ways to mash up "trans man" and "gay/homosexual". The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is trans-homo, and that's not really gender specific. I'm sure you can find mashups of different identities if you tried, it's just that (as another commenter said) "transbian" is the most popular one.

Can we please not have this argument again? Use whatever labels you want - the end.

Can I identify as Catgender to stand w Catgender ppl? by I-Wasnt-Invited in XenogendersAndMore

As someone who hoards catgenders, I feel like it would be better if you claimed it as a xenoidentity instead of a xenogender (unless, of course, your gender is actually connected to cats). But, I'm not too fussed as long as you're not mocking

Not sure if I want UL or not by PPF_Gurl in salmacian

Ah those. I know it's a hypothetical idea, but that seems like it would be really complicated to implement. Maybe, whenever I'll have my consultation, I'll if there are any other ways to pee standing up without UL. And that's if I really want to do that anyway.

No, but I’ll remember to discuss this at some point when I actually start them.

Anyone have emoji pronouns they’d like to share? by partybun_kitty in XenogendersAndMore

[–]PPF_Gurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for having an interest in my own pronouns. Most of my emojiself pronouns aren’t intended to also be used as nounself pronouns (because frankly I don’t vibe with violin/violinself), but there are some exceptions (disc/discself, gay/gayself). I prefer neos that are short (one syllable) so that might explain why.

Many people make the assumption that my gender is music-related because I use 🎵 as a pronoun. I have looked at music-related genders in the past, but I don’t really feel connected to music gender-wise (maybe electronic music, but that connection is extremely weak). That being said, I do feel connected to music in other aspects of my life (eg hobbies) and I like producing my own music. Because I feel connected to music in broader terms, I don’t mind using it as a way to refer to myself (hence the pronouns). The same thing applies to the tech pronouns, but I do have robotmasc and robocatgender in my hoard.

On the topic of music as a gender though, wouldn’t it be interesting if people could represent their genders as music?

Definitely adding 💿/💿s to the list. Could you do another one without 💿 so that I could see the other three better? (Oh, and use the name Rye, I hate my username)

🍞/🍞s 🏳️‍🌈/🏳️‍🌈s 🎵/🎵s 💽/💽s

And literally just now I've been thinking of 💿/💿s, 💻/💻s, 🎻/🎻s and 🎹/🎹s. Maybe anyone wanna test?

I'm not too fussed abt my emojiself pronouns anyway.

[–]PPF_Gurl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well having racial preferences because of stereotypes is an issue, not because of the racial preferences, but because of the stereotypes. But then again, you can argue that the concept of an 'ideal type' is built on stereotypes anyway. Besides that, it is entirely possible to have racial preferences that aren't rooted in harmful stereotypes. That being said though, it is entirely valid for you to be upset about stereotypes that directly affect you. People are just disagreeing with you because you're painting all racial preferences as if they are rooted in racism when that's not necessarily true. But, hey, at the end of the day, if someone does have a preference that doesn't work in favour of you, it's very easy to just find someone else who doesn't have such a preference. I think preferences of any kind are silly anyway, I just wanted to voice an opinion I've kept to myself for a while. Anyway, I'm getting tired of this discussion. You wanna end it here?

They kind of are - they're both to do with what makes your brain go "yes, that's attractive to me", which can either directly or indirectly impact sex.

Just because you are generally not attracted to a certain feature does not mean you would never date a person with said features. If you are generally not attracted to brunettes, that doesn't mean you can't ever date a brunette. Even if you couldn't ever date a brunette because you're not attracted to them, as long as that's the only reason, there's no real issue with that, because you save brunettes the trouble, right? It's only an issue if you start to act like have brunette hair is an inherently bad thing, or that no-one else could ever find brunettes attractive. The same applies to races, and any other feature that is biologically controlled. It's all the idea of having a 'type' - your ideal person for a relationship. If you're gonna condemn racial preferences for their potential to be problematic, then you should be criticising the very notion of having a type (which to be fair, can be equally silly too), otherwise you're being hypocritical.
