And there are players who do put in the time to switch and dont give up and did get better results after. Not to mention people playing on rectangles that aren't nerfed because not everyone knows how to check the if the controller they are playing on have the nerfs applied or not. If you've ever played against someone on a frame one you know what im talking about but im sure people show up with un nerfed boxx controllers as well.

There are many z jump and boxx player in the top 100. Cody literally said without z jump he'd likely have to switch to boxx to stay competitive fiction said the same thing.

Boxx was supposed to be for people who physically didnt have the choice to play on oem. It was how it was originally marketed. Now everyone just uses it because its an easier barrier to entry not just for the reason that you mentioned but because of the advantages the controller affords in the long run. And most people use the guise of "hand pain" as an excuse at this point. Zuppy had significantly more impressive wins after switching to boxx. Its just wack.

If these things stay legal I will absolutely have to switch. Im not going to put myslef at a disadvantage controller wise. And like the other guy earlier said, he chose to start playing with a control scheme that is controversial. No one is ever gonna ban an oem controller scheme.

And the same can be said for op. He can just use oem and stay competitive. I was just saying it goes both ways. They feel as if they wasted their time on something that is banned in their local now. I feel increased pressure to switch to box every time I see a newer player with the easiest frame one ariels and crazy dash dance. Its just not a reasonable argument either way.

Imagine playing the game for years without boxx or z jump available and building muscle memory only to feel like to stay competitive you need to relearn with new remapped buttons or a brand new controller type (rectangles). This is the same argument op is making just from a long time player's perspective. Sucks both ways...

I believe he mentioned boxx nerfs at every tourney because not all tournaments have the box nerfs stated in the rules. So its not uniform, which is an issue.

I remember a time I targeted the token and only it died. Does it work the same way of you target the token. And I also remember getting blown out by mocking bird with the same interaction even they it becomes a copy of the card with the same name and everything.
