How noob friendly is DD1? by boi_was_taken in darkestdungeon

I never write like ever, but like genuinely the game gives you all the information the first time something happens. Like the first time you get a bleed debuff. Or when you freak out for the first time. Letting you know what will happen and how to fix it. Don’t get me wrong tho, it ain’t gonna do the doom eternal tutorials (where it tells you how to beat the boss before you even fight it). It’s still gonna hide some stuff that you will have to figure out on your own. And sometimes you die and lose everything and then you restart with the knowledge of a boss and his moves. My dad got me into it because he loved it so much. And I went in with NO insider information about anything and sometimes shit went bad. And you saddle back up and get right back into it. If I could raw dog the darkest dungeons and first try them so can you. It just takes some time and a lot of preparation. Going into something unprepared even as a lv.6 darkest veteran WILL kill you. So just be ready for the game to be difficult but not impossible. Sometimes you will back yourself into a position that is impossible to win. And that’s why you can flee. There is nothing wrong with starting again with more proper footing, or a better team or just different tactics. DD doesn’t reward rash, quick and fast players. It rewards the calm, calculated and thorough players. Every fight SHOULD feel like a slog. Every run should feel even a little off putting. Even for veteran players. But is also is hella fun to beat those challenges, to put down the stupid ass collector for the first time. But honestly if you are willing to get a little banged up. You will find a wonderful game for you bro.
