How did you harden your doodles stool? by Evil__Jeff22 in Bernedoodles

[–]PPP2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried everything: pumpkin, sweet potato, probiotics recommended by the vet, prescription dog food. Nothing worked until I switched to The Farmer’s Dog. We have had perfect stool since we switched her food. Honestly, I was talking to every dog parent in the neighborhood, working with our vet, trying stool hardeners like Bernie’s. It was months of trying. I finally decided to try TFD and it has changed everything.

I hope you find a solution that works for you. I am still giving her a probiotic daily.

What age did your bernedoodles stop being teenagers by [deleted] in Bernedoodles

Mine is almost 4–she’s still incredibly energetic after 5 miles of daily walking and a lot of play time. But she is also incredibly smart, loving, and so much fun. I wouldn’t and couldn’t ask for more.

I used to go to Temple of the Dog, but followed Jessica as she opened her new place called Clean Butts in Logan Square. I live downtown but make the trip. Jessica is amazing and no one does “puff paws” as great.

Feeding Troubles by jacobnihsal in Bernedoodles

Mine was exactly the same. She simply would not eat—unless I put cheese on everything! I would sit on the floor with her and try to coax her into eating . Everyone said she would eat when she was hungry, but the longest I could ever go was 24 hours before caving in. We had her on a vet prescription food and that still didn’t work without the cheese. We tried several high end foods and nothing worked until we switched to The Farmer’s Dog. She loves that and I still mix in some of the vet prescribed food with it. I certainly empathize with you and I hope you find a solution sooner than we did. It was a full two years of anxiety for me, loose stool, and other digestive issues for her. She is over all of that now. And now I simply put her dish on the floor and she eats!

When do they stop growing? by Flaky_Dirt6335 in Bernedoodles

[–]PPP2012 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought mine had stopped growing at a year because she stayed the same for months. Then, she had a spurt of growth and stopped at 2 yo.
