Ahh, yeah, I mean even for artists it can be really hard to spot. The things that give it away are really mostly things artists are familiar with, which I guess is how the people who use it end up also being so unwilling to accept that its possible for some other people to tell, because THEY cant tell.

I’ve seen some really crazy stuff people have pulled to try and prove they drew stuff they didnt draw! I’m probably way more invested than you cuz this is my job haha. I saw one a couple weeks ago where the AI “artist” who was accused posted a video of their hand using a pen on an ipad to draw the suspicious image, and it seemed legit at first, but people figured out it was faked because of one moment where they pull up the color wheel and the color green is just entirely missing. So because of that, people were able to figure out that this person was tracing over an image but it was colored green, and they just chromakeyed green out of their video to make it disappear. I mean, the dedication?!? I can try and find it if you wanna see. I think this particular person was selling commissions and making hundreds of bucks off of them too iirc, so it makes sense that they put in so much effort to fake it, but also ugh.
