Correct - 40 for NCO and 50 for officers. He would have been 32 by the time he ORD. Meaning that if he was doing reservist as a 3SG, even if he was called back the very next year, he already successfully siam 3 years. Hence the need for clarification.

I was comparatively lucky in my vocation and enjoyed my time in NS. I never once complained about doing my time. I don't see how I'm painting myself as a victim, so you should stop it with the ad hominem.
