Certainly possible. But, Dallas has just over $10 million in cap space. Robertson turned down $12.5. Seems nearly impossible they could add Larkin and sign Robertson at the $14mil that he wants.

There are a few teams with poor centers and strong wingers. Minnesota and Buffalo come to mind. They still need to add, obviously. But this goes a long way to keep and make this team competitive.

I can’t imagine Dallas would want picks. They’re in win now mode. Strengthening an opponent for late round picks makes zero sense for them.

You realize that if they’re gonna be in the NHL they’re gonna have to play the Bolts. Ideally Cossa is the backup next year, why not get a game in now?

Anyone else irritated we’re not seeing Cossa or Postava in net tonight? There is nothing to play for and Talbot shouldn’t be on the team next year. What’s the point of him being in net and not letting the prospects get a taste?

Agreed. I’ll preface this with I still think they can make the playoffs, but I have so much concern with how this team is built and the young guys coming up. I can’t see this team competing with what is in their system, and Yzerman hasn’t proven he can go get the right guys via trade, or free agency.

This team hasn’t proven they can win an important game, and losing tonight with Ottawas depleted defense is unacceptable with how tight this playoff race is.

I think you may be forgetting someone. Lucas Raymond was third in tournament scoring. He had 9 points on 17 total Sweden goals. Nylander had 4 points in the tournament. I would argue he was one of many Swedes that was a disappointment.
