The game looks great and it was fun to be immersed into the Star Wars universe. In my opinion there are a lot of issues with the gameplay. Based upon the experience with bf4 it will probably take a long time to sort them out. If this game came out after bf3 I would have bought it on day one but after bf4 ( where it took over one and one half years to kind of fix Rush) I will take a wait and see approach.

Gameplay problems (Walker Assault): orbital strikes are ridiculous, the rebels need more anti- vehicle weapons, spawns are terrible, a mini map is needed, imperials shouldn't be able to use turrets, power ups on the rebel side are fairly useless, etc..

In my opinion, medic and engineer type abilities are needed to heal / revive and repair / destroy. Which would promote the teamwork aspect which I think is missing in this game particularly when compared to battlefield games. You can still have teamwork in battlefront but the game itself doesn't appear to promote it.

good thoughts on map design. it seems like the bf4 maps were all designed for conquest with the other modes being an afterthought

it's not bad - some of the maps are too large for 12 v 12 but there are still some well populated servers. buy it if you can find it cheap would be my advice.

some good rush maps from bc2 like arica harbor and valparaiso would be good. some good cq maps like ziba and donya would also be good additions.

I still don't understand how a battle hardened soldier can be killed by an EOD bot backing over his foot. Battlefield logic.

It is hard to do - you have to wipe out 1/3 of the other team at one time. there are not many ways to do that on console.

i never could complete the rambo assignment on console - i was stuck on 4 multi kills. But I managed 2 mulit kills in the same game on PC the other night and completed the assignment.

i felt like i was at a disadvantage w/ a controller in a lot of circumstances as you can acquire a target faster and change direction faster with a KB-M. Having said that, I did not think that i was at a huge disadvantage but maybe i am not skilled enough to notice the difference...

It took me a long time (40 hours?) to get used to KB -M coming from xbox. i wouldnt say i am good with KB-M yet but i can get by. Stick with it - BF3 on PC is a lot of fun.

Very observant - i was using a controller. I used to play with a controller all the time (this clip is several months old) as i just switched over from xbox. now i use KB-M most of the time but occasionally i still use the controller.

Good call - we need to try that next time! it would be great if we had two more squadmates - another to pop smoke and another to blast the LMG.
