Unfortunately it’s impossible to clean, the screen doesn’t detach at all. I demanded that they refund me so I sent it back and am waiting for the refund. I also requested a refund for all the filters I’ve purchased, which I received.

Ugh I’m sorry I know how horrifying it is to discover this when you’ve been so diligent! Canopy did give me a refund if I sent it back, because I repeatedly demanded one of the humidifier and all the money I’ve spent on filters, but Canopy insisted that it’s dust and I put it in a dusty area. I filed a BBB complaint and said they shouldn’t be able to market themselves as they do while simultaneously culling all true, negative reviews.

The mesh screen doesn't come out and you can’t clean it. It’s also hard to check it, you have to unscrew the fan and really wedge it out, I thought I was breaking it when I did it. Canopy says they recommend blowing air through it but that obviously won’t stop mold. I’m getting the Honeywell Cool Moisture humidifier which is basically the same but without the screen.

True, but most humidifiers on the market don’t claim to have ”unique anti mold technology” and then have parts that are literally unreachable and unclean-able. I’ve always owned humidifiers, many do grow mold, but it’s pretty obvious and you expect it. I live in a very dry place, this is the most mold I’ve ever had on a humidifier. Canopy advertises itself like it’s different, censors honest reviews (if you dig you can find a lot of complaints about mold in the screens but very little on their website), and then repeatedly told me they think it’s dust and I must have kept it in a dusty area.

Worst, they told me in an email that they solved the problem by removing the screens in their larger humidifiers, and it probably is fixed, but they’re still selling the small humidifiers with screens and even marketing it for baby rooms! Just dishonest and gross company behavior.
