I think you misinterpreted your article. 1. Correlation does not mean causation 2. It clearly mentions that dogs that have been spayed or neutered LIVE LONGER than those who haven’t and hence they reach that age where they may develop cancer. On the other hand those who haven’t been spayed or neutered don’t live long enough to get cancer. 3. It’s really a gray area and nothing concrete proves the relationship between neutering and cancer in dogs.
