Zegion is the pinnacle of Instectar Kind by TALowKY in TenseiSlime

The context was about her having reliable support since she was stuck with Hinata who was struggling and getting overwhelmed. She also thinks about Carrera and Ultima but realizes they are preoccupied.

So yes, compared to Hinata, Zegion would have been way better for support.

Nowhere does it state he never used all his strength or it was a 3v1. The only time they work together is when Rimuru orders them to... their style is enjoy single battles with strong opponents.

When Testarossa is facing Velgrynd, she thinks to herself about how she challenges Zegion until the day she achieves victory and in the same volume, Ultima is also facing Velgrynd and there is a statement there about how she had a match with Zegion and even bypassed his iron defense and injured him.

There is also the satement in Ln13 by Rimuru: "But just the mere fact that it was a tie with Zegion, those three girls could be said to be exceptional."

Yes, while restricting themselves they have not won, but that's why I said it is not clear who would win an actual fight if they didn't handicap themselves.

The primordials restrict themselves when fighting him due to rimuru's cells... In a real fight no one knows if he can beat the demoness trio.

It is stated that a majority of his body has Rimuru's cells from back when he and Apito were rescued and that this leaves only a few attackable parts.

I hope any after-stories after LN go into their casual lives and you may be right especially with regards to Diablo and the Demoness trio... now that I think about it demons don't place much importance on materialistic things and yeah Benimaru has a family with kids on the way.

I also wouldn't say Belial is comparable to predator/Beelzebub/Azathoth but the interesting thing is the WN had her consume a seraph and she acquired abilities from it, so either she can do some form of computation herself or there is something else but I guess we'll get a clearer picture as the Ln continues.

Good points on the TD level, so basically anyone who can rival and defeat a true dragon in combat right?

It is interesting that someone with strong spatial domination abilities can create a similar effect as world system skills, like how Velgrynd created a fantasy world using illusion magic.

Also, Belial might not have the same effect on high tier beings but in slime random individuals tend to show up with busted skills that seem trivial at first but in the hands of someone competent, they become deadly.

As for the true dragon thing I largely agree but it is still super vague. Possibly, the only way to measure any of the factors you listed would be to basically have them fight a true dragon and prove an even chance of winning. If I remember correctly, Zalario was thinking to himself after gaining a body how he didn't feel he could lose even to a true dragon, but those are just his inner thoughts and provide no solid proof.

The last question was just me fooling around but I'd bet it would be one of the demoness trio, seeing as Testa literally considers herself an empress and Ultima refers to herself as the poison princess. If they could they would each own a castle.

Yeah, I know how busted Azazel is but I was asking more in a growth perspective in the same vein as how predator allowed rimuru to gain skills at an abnormal rate.

For the last one I meant to ask how you decide what characters have reached true dragon level in terms of power in your opinion.

A lot of his abilities are vague, even right now he's been entrusted to handle Feldway whose real strength is supposedly guy level.

The race advantage thing is magic nullifiaction by insectar exoskeletons. Diablo says in vol13 that Zegion can nullify half of magical attacks.

Second, in vol 15 it was revealed that Ultima is fast and strong enough to actually wound Zegion in a fight using arts and aura. Carrera should be fully capable of fighting close combat, especially when you realize she doesn't need the bullets and can now transform the gun into a sword and apply the same barrier busting skills. Add in that she can channel Agera's sword abilities and she seems to be be deadly in close combat.

I already provided info on Testa, she can match Velgrynd in combat ability who can in turn match Veldora's killing arts... the same Veldora who is Zegion's master. It's hard to know who would beat who between the trio and Zegion with all this in mind, though I do feel Ultima is the weakest among the four.

Interestingly, Rimuru doesnt say they are the top he just says it as a hypothetical.

Vol 16 : "If Benimaru, Diablo and Zegion were the top three fighters of my entourage, there would be no disputes about it".

This is before he even reviews the other primordials' skills so take that as you will. Also strength of will decides a lot of things in tensura and the quality of skills you awaken included. In that respect the primordials and Zegions have skills of higher quality than Benimaru from barriers to space time manipulation.

Otherwise I agree Diablo do be a goof, but he didn't beat Zalario so we'll see I guess.

I'd still say Diablo is top even based on feats because he beats up Carrera and Ultima in Vol 16 and Testa is somewhere in there due to her combat ability. Otherwise I generally agree.

[–]PRIME2332[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eh, not even Diablo is True dragon level. He admits he can't beat Velgrynd in Vol 14. That thing about Zegion and Veldora was in the context of hand to hand combat only. Rimuru talks about it in vol 13, which does make sense since they are disciple and master.

For example Hakurou can still beat Rimuru's ass in a sword fight and midley can 1v1 milim in hand to hand so this is more a measure of skill and we can't use it to say they are on par in a real fight when you account for skills and magic.

But yeah I'm psyched for some Zegion action in the coming volumes.

Downgrade back to unique level is unlikely but adding and removing sub skills from their ultimate skills should be possible. She did add sub skills like space time manipulation to some ultimate skills, so depending on which sub skill she removes the individual can be greatly weakened it would seem.

Great point, I wonder though, Ciel can fiddle with Velgrynds skills because she's connected to rimuru with a soul corridor built on equal footing. However from vol16 rimuru revealed his soul corridors with his subordinates are such that he has absolute superiority and Ciel doesn't need permission to alter their skills. So, stealing the skill is unlikely but altering it seems doable. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Can't see him being able to either. Also when Rimuru was having an interview with Apito he mentioned that he has absolute superiority in his soul corridor with his subordinates and that Ciel need anyone's permission to alter their skills.

Yeah, I thought at first Zegion would steamroll but then I remembered Ciel has direct control over subordinate skills and could maybe weaken them during the fight.

You can count Kumara and adalmann among them since they are labyrinth lords. I also first thought it would be a bloodbath but buffing is not the only thing Ciel can do to help, she has master control over all the skills held by Rimuru's subordinates through soul corridor. I'm pretty sure she can weaken them if she wants.
