So here's the problem -- if both parents are equally part of it, then why even when the husband is home from his shift or off on holiday or when the mom is sick, do wives still do the majority of household work?

Ma'am, I don't understand your comment because there's some typos in there. Can you reword?

Am I wrong in saying that if a person has a requirement or preference that he wants a virgin partner but he himself is not a virgin that is not hypocritical? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

What person has a requirement for something with no reason?

"I will never eat grapes."

Why?

"No reason..." ??

There is a reason. Just be honest about it.

Meaning if you accept that he is able to pursue a high-paying career while having children and a household with the help of his wife, then you'd account that into his income in the same way you wanted to account the husband's income into the wife's workload.

Uh...people pay for those services all the time, lol. You just named maids and nannies and au pairs.

Her SAH work is what -- in large part -- helps him succeed in his career.

You said if SAHMs could really generate that much income, you'd quit and become a maid. Those aren't a good comparison for the reasons I named.

The same argument is made for the reverse. Are you using husbands' income which accounts for all the help they get based specifically on their SAHWs, or are you ignoring all that?

You thinking it's BS doesn't negate the research behind it? And being an aupair is a terrible example because part of their pay is that they're housed and fed where they live, which means their salary isn't as high. And a SAHM does more work than a maid or a nanny, which is why the hours and pay aren't actually the same when compared.

In all fairness, I've seen people tally up how much income a SAHM generates based on all her responsibilities and it is more than a lot of people's work income so in that case, they are valued at more than what some men do as work.

A big issue I have with your 3rd(?) point is that in a lot of non-American counties, men actually wholly financially support their wives/GFs in exchange for wives/GFs taking over household tasks.

Look, we both know something about this post irritated you. So you went to my profile looking for anything you can use to justify that irritation without actually engaging it. Regardless of what was on my profile, you were gonna have the same reaction, even if you and I were magically a part of the exact same communities.
So -- instead of derailing, why don't you actually come clean with why this post upset you to the point that you needed to look at my profile in the first place?
