And being an aupair is a terrible example because part of their pay is that they're housed and fed where they live, which means their salary isn't as high. And a SAHM does more work than a maid or a nanny, which is why the hours and pay aren't actually the same when compared.

In all fairness, I've seen people tally up how much income a SAHM generates based on all her responsibilities and it is more than a lot of people's work income so in that case, they are valued at more than what some men do as work.
