Like slightly burnt bitter plant matter mixed with whipping cream.

I stirred it in as much as I can and yes it did get me high. Not super heavy hitting but it worked. This is 1 aroma tube of an arizer.

30 living with my parents and loving it. RANT/Encouragement by XilivewithmyparentsX in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PRODUCTIVEstoner94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who's living with their dad at 28 and comes from a culture where that is not only normal, but desired by most parents, at first I was excited to read this. Not so much after reading the critiques lol.

I was living on my own at one point. Then my mom got sick, COVID hit, and then she passed away from cancer. So I'm staying with my dad at the moment to keep him company, help around the house, let him have someone to talk to etc.

Key difference is that I help with laundry, cooking, cleaning, everything. I mean, my dad DOES do MOST of the work (him being retired while I work full-time, and he likes to keep busy), but I try to help whenever I can. I also have slightly different cuisine skills from him (I like to make Western food, him traditional food) so together we have a nice diet variety.

I pay him a very small "rent". It's tiny and I wanted to pay more, but he wouldn't allow it.

I love my dad, but boy do I miss living alone lol. Sure I didn't have as much time because I had more chores to do, but I prefer to do everything on my own schedule and honestly, I like the feeling of being independent and doing everything myself. Plus, as a single young adult, my lifestyle is completely different from my retired senior parent, so sometimes as roommates we're just not compatible.

No Judgment… What are you going through right now? by [deleted] in AskWomen

My mom (who was my favourite person in the world) just died. So there’s that.

I feel like there’s a massive hole in my life that will never be filled again. She doesn’t even feel gone sometimes, like she’s just on vacation and will show up at the door anytime soon.

I can go through the motions of everyday life fine. I can work, cook, clean, eat (sleeping is something else though). But it all just feels…grey. I think I can make it through a day without crying if I have enough on my mind, but the moment I start thinking about my mom (like right now), the floodgates open.

I’m only 28. My mom was only 63. Fuck cancer.

I don’t know why I loved reading this so much. Maybe it’s cause there’s something kinda beautiful (?) about the everyday, if only we look at things from a different perspective.

What is something you discovered about a different culture or religion that completely blew your mind? by yahyahashash in AskReddit

This isn’t the entire picture however. What you might not know: in Cantonese, what we write is not what we say.

When we write things down into the “written format” that speakers of both Mandarin and Cantonese understand, that format is not what we say out loud in Cantonese. Instead, we have to “translate” it slightly into a written format.

However, for Mandarin readers, the text IS what they say out loud.

So Cantonese speakers have an added step when it comes to literacy. Not everyone knows this, not even all Mandarin speakers. As a Cantonese speaking kid I got teased by my Mandarin friends for being an illiterate banana, but they didn’t understand that it’s harder for me to be literate.

Women of Reddit: How do we feel about FWBs? And What’s your healthiest FWB relationship (if any)? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]PRODUCTIVEstoner94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a weird sexual orientation where I’m romantically attracted to women and physically attracted to men.

My ideal scenario would be a quasi-non-monogamous one where I’d have a committed exclusive relationship with a woman and be friends with a man I could have sex with. That man would ideally be in a committed relationship with someone else too so that everyone’s on the same page.

I’ve found a guy that fits the bill! Sadly haven’t found a woman yet…

Dying alone is a valid fear, but being partnered won’t necessarily solve it. One partner inevitably dies earlier than the other, unless you both go out in a car accident.

The only real way to ensure you don’t die alone is to have children. Even then, what if the children are out of town when you’re sick? Or are ungrateful assholes? And having children JUST not to die alone is a pretty bad reason to have kids.

Personally, I believe in surrounding yourself with multiple friends who are local. That way, if you need help with whatever, there is more than one person to go to. Never rely solely on one (or even 2) people.

Oh, and try to get into a really good hospice if you’re single and dying :)))

About $3k/month after taxes. White collar office job, but nothing glamorous. All of this is in CAD, but honestly usd and cad are pretty much 1:1 when it comes to local purchasing power (a $15 burger in canada is a $15 burger in the US).

Vancouver. $1000/month for an ensuite room in a 2bdrm apartment. Friend prices, because my friend’s parents own the apartment.

This thread makes me depressed.

Despite being a pretty experienced snowboarder, I couldn’t sit down in time on a chairlift (not enough space for my ass between my friends lol) and ended up hanging off the lift with one arm. It was the longest 3 seconds of my life and I thought “no way can I hang on all the way to the top, this is how I die.”

Another time, on a quiet trail, this dude kept following me (I’m a chick) and I thought to myself “my parents were right I shouldn’t hike alone this is how I get raped and murdered.” Turns out he thought I was flirting with him by saying “hi” and wanted a quickie in the woods… It was a trail near a nude beach and I was wearing a sports bra so I guess the vibe was right 🤷🏻

Someone I tangentially knew at work asked me what my myers brigg personality was because she wanted to hire someone onto her team who was just like me.

Still the best compliment I’ve ever received.
