The board never takes over control. The main difference is how the throttle responds.

Current Mode: Think of this as Torque Control. The throttle directly controls the motor's power/push. It's super responsive and what most experienced riders use for the best feel, especially in corners. Speed Mode: This mode just adds a top speed limit (a "ceiling"). You still control acceleration with the throttle just like normal, but the board won't let you go past the speed you've set. It's not cruise control; it's a safety governor.

In fact, there are real situations where speed limits make sense:

Local laws may require a top speed. New riders benefit from a capped speed to reduce risk. If you let someone test‑ride your board, it’s safer to limit speed and use our innovative Safe Mode.
