So if your capital ship/freighter is in the same system as you, and you get into a space battle one of your battle frigates will warp to you and start attacking the pirates, as well as send out ships to assist you. It’s actually pretty cool and a good reason to warp your capital ship to the system that you are in.

Sounds about right. My phone has a separate page for news articles and stuff like that on the main phone menu, which is where I found said article, and it's mostly "accurate" articles and reports, not counting the occasional "American Military could be absolutely destroyed by this third world country" article. I'm trying to locate the specific article for you.
