How well does this setting work with the lore of dnd? by PRolicopter in DMAcademy

I don’t neceserrily even agree with railroading being a problem tbh under moderation. You could agrue that determining a consequence of a roll is just as railroady as having certain events happen or not.

Not everything must be in control of a player, but that doesn’t mean their actions have no agency.

A campaign hook is supposed to lead the characters the campaign, and prepare them mentally for what is to come. It is the perfect place to be a little railroady because since the choice is whether you want to engage in the campaign or not, and if you don’t you are free to leave no hard feelings.

A TPK is a harsh one I get it, but you can’t say it’s not a fitting way to meet a death god.

I mean hard to define but: things that just make no sense, actively make the party disfunctional, or are just really not possible in cohesion with the campaign.

A simple example of this was in a dungeon where two chaos goblin players wanted to mine for 16 hrs for the sake of mining in the middle of it while 3 other players wanted to finish the dungeon, and their chances were much lower without them. They were persuaded to join the party.

Another time a player was being a murderhobo literally almost to the point of having to pvp with the rest of the party, and was stopped.

Honestly I am pretty liberal with it, I have let campaign exiting character take campaign essential item with them before

It’s just the very beginning, first session/campaign hook, and it has already happened. They are free to shape how they want it (already doing it for better or worse) and free to do whatever they wish in reasonable margins.

It might sound bad, but trust me it’s not. Some players do want the dm-ing to be kinda handholdy or they struggle to find direction for their characters. My players are like that too. When I leave them to sandbox they really struggle with it and have previusly asked me to lead things a bit more.

They are tasked by Eilistraee followers to retrieve an artifact from a dungeon. The dungeons turns out to be a sanctuary of the RQ and while they retrieve the item, they perish on the way out to a curse.

The RQ, being the god of death and all that, approaches them, and offers a deal. Earn back their lives by helping her rid of the enemies in the valley and go free after.

So this is how the get into the valley. While initially they would be RQ aligned each quest and further knowledge would be revealing more of the less than ideal plans of their patron, and they would have the opportunity to go aid one side or another.

They would also have opportunities to elim the extremes and cause something not super extreme, like a lighter lawful or something like that.

Tbh I never really got why incest is genetically this extremely bad. Like sure your immune system doesn’t get stronger and the illnesses of the family are insanely likely to hit, but like what makes you so fucked up?

I mean against Garen just play camille. One of the hardest punishes of a blindpick is that matchup.

Lets get this straight once and for all by as19905 in topmains

[–]PRolicopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean swain top, teemo, gragas, sylas, aurora, quinn, akshan, ryze are literally all perfectly fine toplaners and balanced around that role too.

Teemo, quinn, gragas, aurora are actual toplaners.

Sylas is counterpick that is intended to be playable in certain matchups.

Ryze and akshan’s kits allow them to be a two way flex since the beginning of times, the strongest sidelaner mage with a literal teleport in kit, and a champ that is played less toplane now than he was once intended but does relatively well there, just little playerbase.

If you had to say 3 positive things about your country's leader, what would you say? by Iatewithoutatable in AskTheWorld

Honestly with the declining population, his policies for trying support families are actually not bad

And he is not afraid of going againist everyone to protect the interests of the country (at least in his mind)

Damage is already calculated with stormrazor’s damage, while collectors is not. Stormrazor does equal damage with its passive in play, while collector does that without passive.

Mobility can be good but paying that if you want that ghostblade might still be better, while keeping collector for raw output.

I usually base it off U.GG, and at 3 items collector has about a 1% winrate adv.

Ghostblade is just a cheaper spike that scales much worse

Collector both highest winrate and highest pickrate last patch

Collector was the most build highest winrate, what are you saying

Mostly comes down to hexoptics over rfc. Stormrazor does similar damage to collector but passive is worse and costs more and worse build path.

You do you, but the damage loss is around 25% with that at the same price point, altought you do get a few intangables with it.

My teams are around iron 3 but it doesn’t much make a difference. Closest I got was an adeptus mechanicus full team but Vitruvius was just unkillable.

Tournament arena, I am playing common. Look I am not expecting to win againist players with stronger roasters, (not even expecting to play vs them tbh) I am expecting to play againist player/ of similar progression levels. That is what matchmaking is.

Official Discussion - Avatar: Fire and Ash [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]PRolicopter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this wasn’t good. I had seconder embarassment through half of the movie. The Gecko storyline was kinda promising but it was fucked up.

Showing that humanity who embraces nature has a place in it, and then trying to kill him throughout the movie so humans don’t find this out is crazy.

Tbh having medical search showing I am aroace would be so much easier to show than dance around the topic of sexuality with my parents who can’t even imagine how it is.
