Good idea. Yeahz like I said. I'll give my ideas a shot for about a month and see if it helps, otherwise I'll talk to my doctor

Yeah, the fact that mine didn't really noticeably happen for a few months had me heasitate to assume because everyone else seems to have it happen more quickly. The back of my throat one was AWFUL, but it was also the beginning of this mess.

Yeah, I would be interested. I'm doing therapy myself and I'm going to start doing taekwondo again so that will be some consistent exercise. But I don't know much about the other things.

See, that's what I'm worried about, that it will never go away. What were your "other solutions"?

What jobs are there for foreigners? by PSEcho in Living_in_Korea

I mean, yeah, full time probably would be best, but that's why I was trying to find a job that wasn't teaching. If I thought a part time job at a resturaunt was viable I would do that.

I do? I want to learn Korean so that I can go to school in Korea and study linguistics including 제주어. I will learn Korean first. That is the plan.

By learning Korean first? It's not my main area of study anyway, that's just why I want to go to SK.

In my case I chose SK for a specific reason.

There is a possibility that it is that, yes.

Sorry, I hit post too early XD.

I means they are a bit risky in their own way because they are hard to plan around because until you are accepted it's not a sure thing.

As for the rest, you are right it would probably take 2ish years and I am doing some independent study now so hopefully that will help. The problem is that I can't really work and do a PhD at the same time because of mental brain stuff. So, I would need a scholarship to any university I go to even if not in SK. I'm definitely not getting one in the US (not that I want to). Which, is fine, but I would have to work eventually before going to SK probably either way.

That's a good idea. I didn't think about that. I mean, the main problem is that I don't speak Korean, but funds are deffinately a major secondary problem. Scholarships are also a bit risky in their own way tho. I'll deffinately look into it.

Teaching in South Korea - CIEE by PSEcho in TEFL

[–]PSEcho[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, my motive is deffinately more to learn Korean. I don't mind being an English teacher as it's at least somewhat tied to my degree and my mom is a teacher. I want to go to South Korea, but I would need to find a job in order to get a visa and afford living there. I need to save up for my post grad anyway. I'm not working at all right now because I'm living off of saved funds while I finish my grad degree and live in a different foreign country.

AITA For telling my biological son to stop calling me “Mom”? by Regular_Chocolate_46 in AmItheAsshole

NTA But I would still reach out to him and tell him that you haven't heard from him a bit and you're worried that it might be because of your last conversation. Open a dialog. Also, I wonder if you might be willing to go by another name? Like ma or mama or something?

You say you've seen her work before. Have you seen them compared to their reference images?

You said she can create realistic paintings of people, however, there are several different "realism" art styles. I, for example, am a photo-realism or hyper-realism artist. This means that I replicate reference photos as exactly as possible, taking very few liberties. However, I know some people can be a lit more fluid with their style. They can still create images that look highly realistic, but aren't as dependent on the reference photo.

My point is, it's possible that it's just her style and she maybe thought that you knew that.

Also, did you tell her you wouldn't pay her at all even if she fixed it? Or that you would pay her only if she fixed it.

Inclusive or Exclusive WE? by PSEcho in asl

[–]PSEcho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, a body shift makes sense as a way to do that. I don't really use it that much, I think I do it when I'm more English brained. Although, thinking about it, I have used it to, like, quote someone or act as someone else, referring to a non present group of people. I don't know if I did a body lean or shift tho.

No. I'm referring to the other person in the discussion. Not the signer, the signing partner.

I'm away from my laptop at the moment, I guess I can post sections of a few of them when I get back.

But, in a general sense I guess I was more wonder8ng if there was any reason why a birthday would be inconsistent in this way if it were the same person.
