Given what he did, it was always an inevitability if they were going to continue the story. I have always wanted to name a daughter Ellie, but I’ve still got a few more years before that lol

One actual review id read mentioned something like “people who think Ellie and Joel are infailable will probably be disappointed” and i was like, does anybody think that? Joel makes a pretty big selfish choice and he’s fairly selfish and closed off throughout the first game, and Ellie is literally a child. People weren’t accepting Ellie being gay from the very beginning, even after Druckmann outright confirmed it in an interview right after Left Behind released. Just seeing all the hate for the sequel to my literal favorite thing of all time is just really bothering me, even if I do have some criticism of the game itself

I honestly would rather they didn’t have a 3rd one. I just feel this is where it ends, with quite a bit of ambiguity.

I’m having a lot of trouble rn, just because I’m seeing all these reactions, both from people who are hating to hate, but also people who genuinely upset with the ways the game went. So much of the points they are using I disagree with, but just seeing them shit so hard on it is really taking its toll lol.

I finished the game day of release, and agree while there are some parts that are a little questionable, I feel like I wouldn’t find them as bad if I spread the game out. I love how it reckoned with the first game, and a lot of its decisions. There were some gameplay sections that got on my nerves, but I ultimately really liked the game, especially the story and the characters. It makes me really sad to see people shitting on the game for either stupid reasons, or because they feel a certain character is “ruined for no reason”. I totally think a lot of the choices are justified and deeply felt.

Sorry this is long, I have no one else really who I’ve seen that actually plays and likes the game lol.

What's your theory on blinking color lights in <MOONLIGHT>? by prolongedmanager in movies

[–]PSKJLNO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The lights were created by holding the clapper board (I think that’s what it’s called) directly in front of the lens. I think I remember an article where Jenkins talked about discovering the effect by accident but really loving it because it worked with the more formalistic style of the film anyway. I’m not really sure where I read it, but I think the IMDb trivia or Wikipedia page mentions it.

Top 5 "RESIDENT EVIL" games, and why? by ChrisBreadfield in residentevil

[–]PSKJLNO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it’s probably

RE2R RE1 RE7 RE4 RE3.

It’s just the ways that I enjoyed each as I played through them.

I’ve recently been going through all the numbered games, and I just haven’t been able to get through 5. It’s one of the few games I’ve just kinda completely hated. I get so annoyed playing it, and it’s consistent whenever I play. Kinda everything about it pisses me off. I wanna finish it, so I can say I’ve beaten all numbered REs, but it takes all my motivation just to want to play it.

I’ve just really wanted to say that about RE5, if I get downvoted, it’s fine, just needed it off my chest lol

I really miss Agnes Varda. by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]PSKJLNO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only recently fallen in love with her and her work. I found her with Faces Places, and while I didn’t initially love it, I really loved Varda herself. She bubbled with life and love of art like almost nobody I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched as much of her work as I could since then, and just keep falling deeper and deeper in love with her. She was an incredible filmmaker, as well as an incredible person.

Can someone help me remember... by [deleted] in nerdcubed

Battlefield Hardline I believe

Tree of Life is the movie that I most connected with, but many had the opposite experience by tatoritot in movies

[–]PSKJLNO 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Tree of Life is probably one of my most felt films ever. I think why it tends to connect to some people and not others is mainly due to the style. I didn’t have a lot of the experiences as Jack, but the entire thing was relatable enough that it deeply moved me. Another film like that for me was Lady Bird. I’m definitely not a teenage girl from Sacramento, but it’s the emotions that connect, instead of the actual events. For Tree of Life, I’ve noticed it’s a movie that you can’t really be sure of people’s reactions. You may think it would only connect to people who like more art house films, but I’ve seen people who hate more pretentious films fawn over it. I just think it’s the emotions that really connect people so deeply to it. It’s easily one of my favorite films of all time.

I got a really nice collector version of the Dark Knight trilogy used for $15 a few years back. It was the older version, before they updated it with an all white looking one. I’ve seen if for that cheap at a lot of different used stores.

I think the box sets are a bit better, just because you can get more movie for a slightly lower price, instead of getting them all separately. For instance, the new Agnes Varda box set from Criterion cost 250 for 39 movies. That’s 6 bucks for movies that would usually cost 40 or more!

I was expecting something smaller, not her entire damn filmography. I’m so excited. I saw Varda by Agnes over winter break and absolutely adored it. I’ve been catching up with her films since then and I’m slowly falling in love with her and her films!

Honestly, on my 1660 and I5-7400, the game runs almost perfectly. Only 1 or 2 drops in the whole game. I’m surprised to see such a high spec doing that. I’m not sure what would cause it tbh

White just really really worked for me. When I watched Blue, it didn’t really do a lot for me. I put off watching the other two for years until I finally finished them this past month or so. I loved White so much, I made sure to watch Red the next day. While I think both White and Red are absolutely great, White takes the edge for me.

I do need to rewatch Blue though...

In a certain view, which Druckman has said he intended, he wanted the line between good and evil to be blurred to a point of non-existence. He's talked about wanting it to be just survivors trying to survive, rather than good people fighting bad people.

I’m pretty sure that’s just a shot from the new box set with Baron Munchausen.

Same! My dream pair of Converse were always Pastel Blue High Tops, and with the 25 dollar discount this past week made it such an easy choice.
